View Full Version : Gemming advice? Pure SP or SP+stam?

Currently each of my 4 shamans uses the spell power / stam combo gems and crit / stam gems (9spell power, 12 stam and 8 crit, 12 stam).

I have 23.5k HP on my main and 21.5k on the others which when I go up against 5s with close to 30k HP with buffs it makes me feel like a glass canyon.

Anyhow, I'm considering replacing the gems with pure spell power and pure crit -- I may even spring for the epic gems but just looking at blue, say I replace 5 gems and gain 50 spell power but lose 600HP -- replace the yellow ones with crit and it yields me 24 crit or so but at the cost of another 240 HP.

With just flame tongue I have 2278 SP, with totem of wrath 2558 and with those + trinket 2998 SP.

One of my partners thinks I should because we're all about offense so that makes sense but I've also had fights where I won but it was so close one or more of the shamans dropped below 500 HP before getting healed.

Help please! :)

you will be glass cannoins, be more offensive. I can't tell any difference between like 20k hp and 23k hp, its like an extra half second alive

I can however tell a massive difference between say 2100sp and 2450 sp when you can op trinkets and hit over 3200sp, it hurts

That's what I determined too.

I'm not quite to 3200 SP with the trinket but I'm getting closer (around 3000 on all of them with the trinket and totem).

A well geared healer makes a huge difference though, this evening I got in about 25 games with an old friend who happens to have a mostly furious geared druid -- we went 12-4 before some of the other teams "figured it out" :) Almost hit 1600 too ;)
