Hi all,

In regards to my 3-box - SK, Warlock, Defiler group, I'm wondering how you manage the casting of the DoTs that have a recast that is much shorter then duration. It doesn't make sense to place it early in the macro, as it will be recast soon after its Cooldown is up, thus wasting a portion of the DoT. Putting it too late would make it less likely to be cast.

Example, I've specced Acid, our strongest single target DPS tool. It has Duration 10.5 sec, Recast 5.5 sec, Cast-Time 2 sec.

Do you create a separate key for this spell and watch debuffs like a hawk? or is there a good place to have it in your macro chain, which seems to work alright for you?

Thank you!

As you attain higher levels and gain more AA (and get into T2 shard armor) more and more spells will take less time to cast. w/ 190+ AA's and full T2 shard armor, my whole team has a 98+% cast speed increase and 52+% recast speed. The only way to work around fast-recast-spells is to line them up against the slower cast time spells (find a good place to have it in your macro chain).

I run 4-5 Spells/CAs in each macro, depending... I put the ones with the longest recast first, and the one with the fastest recast 2nd to last (create a macro, then attack the combat dummy while pushing the 'test' button within the macro to watch messed up order the macros use). Every 10-20 levels (or AAs) run back through all your macros and adjust as needed.
