I have a problem, when I run any game or even use a web browser on my second monitor, the colors look washed out, dark and the words look all choppy. But when I move everything to my first monitor, it is brighter, non choppy, non washed out, etc.

I checked cables to the monitor, checked my graphics card to make sure it is seated properly, and checked windows 7 control panel display options, no setting I can find. I am begining to think this is a driver issue =/

here is my specs

windows 7 RTM
geforce 190.62 drivers

hannsg 28" lcd monitor (primary)
samsung syncmaster 2232bwplus(secondary)
q6600 2.4 overclocked to 3.0
8gigs of gskill 1066 memory
gigabyte ep45-ud3r motherboard
geforce gtx 260 core 216

I think that is it.

If anyone knows how to take a screenshot of the secondary monitor, please let me know, it will be easier to show what I am having problems with

Have yeh tried switching the monitors around, as in switch the plugs?

Those the monitor that looks washed out work fine by itself?

Have yeh tried using a different cable?

Both plugged into the 260 card right? You're not plugging one into a slot intigrated with the mobo are you?

That looks like exactly my same setup, except I still have my old 8800GT, but same CPU, same RAM, same monitors even. Although I'm still on the Win7 RC.

i have no onboard graphics :)

not sure what the problem is. i tried switching monitors, changing cable, changing from a dvi cable to a vga cable, checking around in windows 7, last thing I am going to try is using driver cleaner to get rid of the old nvidia drivers and try reinstalling them again.

whats the diff between rtm and rc?? im running win 7 ult rc. with a gtx 280 1gb, 680i mobo w/ q6600 4gb crucial ram, oc'd to 3.4/ i get around 60 or so on main client pretty much at all times (except for a few times in a/v) with the other 4 on secondary monitor cut off at 20. at times i do get quite a bit of drop on main screen around 28-35fps but i fig that was pretty good. settings tanked on 4 slaves, and around mid on main.

Does each card work fine by itself?

RTM just means the software has gone Gold and they sent it out to manufactuers to fix their own windows 7 pc disk for the premade computer you buy. I got my from MSDN subscription for around $300 and I have access to all windows versions, office, etc for 1 year(I think that is the time on the lowest subscription).

So the RTM may have updated some code or fixed some errors that where in the RC, but you need to have a MSDN subscription to download or wait til oct 22(i believe) to buy it from the store :)

do you mean monitors?

yes each monitor works fine and dandy. just the samsung looks dark and when playing Wow the words look chopped up or distorted. I will try the samsung on a xp machine, just got to set it up.

I suspect it may be a nvidia driver issue or a windows 7 driver issue.i recently had the samsung as my main monitor and a hp2207 as secondary and the HP looked washed out as well. could also be that the motherboard is a p45 chipset and will only do crossfire(although I do not have 2 PCIe on this board). could there be a compadibility problem with the board/graphics card? hmm I wonder if that is it.

I'll check the bios, maybe I disabled something or have not enabled something in there that I need

otherwise I will contact evga and see what they have to say.

ok I think I found the problem with the dark monitor issue. I bought a new hanns-g 28" monitor 2 weeks ago and been using it this whole time. I have the brightness turned somewhat high on this monitor and that is why my other monitors look dark. their brightness does not go up that high as the hanns-g does. So I will have to calibrate the monitors together and try to get the same level of brightness/contrast for each monitor.

now the scaling issue, this is a Wow problem. if I set windowed mode without maximize, the text looks fine on the second monitor and the first. but if I click on maximize windows mode, the text looks distorted. So i will have to check tech support at the Wow forums for a solution or a setting I might have missed.
unless someone here can help me :)

thanks for the help everyone

when u click max windows mode it uses your desktop gamma/color setting, when they are unchecked, it uses the games setings. make sure your color depth is set to the right thing in windows desktop settingz

are you referring to full screen option? I get an error when exporting from isboxer when I try to have it full screen, so that is no go.

I know I am missing a setting in isboxer/innerspace or Wow video config.

i'll just keep fiddling around with it until i get it. and yes my windows(windows 7) screen options are correct and everything works except wow that gives me distortion
