With my team being fresh 80 & raiding is out of the question due to time constraints; what would be the suggested path for gearing up?
Currently I am running the various quests in Ice Crown to open up the dailies; wearing an Argent Tabard as that is the only faction that my team is friendly with ATM. Poking my head into ToC as of last night in hopes of better gear.
Did you focus on a single team member, and then focus on an instance that would benefit that class the most? Did you look to gear up your tank, or healer, or DPS first?…I see benefits to getting each one for different reasons.
Professions, & Dailies, and Quests …OH MY….
Not sure how to prioritize in order of importance as Multiboxing a team is not the same as focus on a single class/spec.

My first priority after hitting 80 was 5x Jewelcrafters (375 skill to unlock the JC daily) to generate money from dragon eye sales, think of it as an investment that will pay for itself rather quickly. Check your servers dragon's eye prices first but 150-200g each seems fairly common (not too long ago you could get away with selling them for 300g each!).. then your making 750-1000g a day selling 5x dragoneyes for only ~5-10 minutes of your time. If you don't mind spending time doing daily quests and/or money is not an issue to you this probably isn't a big deal, but for me it was huge
After that, If are able to clear normal mode ToC just farm the crap out of that place until your entire team is swimming in purples. If you are having trouble with ToC in current gear hit up the AH and buy cheap BOE blues for everyone which provide the best upgrades, mabey some of the BOE/crafted epics for your tank/healer. Also IMO the crafted titansteel weapons + enchant are also a good investment imo as you won't replace them until you are able to clear Heroic ToC
I'm not sure if your interested in PVP or not but if so definitly do the wintergrasp quests twice a week (once on tuesday, once on saturday when they reset...oddly enough). Or more often for the tokens... The entry level pvp gear these days from WG and honor isn't itemized the greatest for PVE, but its much better then quest blues/greens ;)
Have fun!

re gear for the OP's question, definitely go get the brewfest trinkets - so very easy to get eipc 200lvl items that would take awhile to farm and buy with badges.
Make money and buy BOE epics, gear your tank first - you need to be defcapped before anything else - you can do it with BOE's. Then your healer IMO.
Here's my tank - no heroic gear yet ... http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Bonechewer&n=Teamâwesome (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Bonechewer&n=Team%C3%83%C2%A2wesome)

JC was only about 1000-1500g per character assuming thorium and adamantite ore costs 40g a stack on your server, Around 75% of the cost for me was several spots between 150-300 skill. I stopped at 400 skill fwiw as you only need 375 skill for the daily quest and ability to craft dragon eyes...400 for the trinkets

My first group, the healer was my main and raided Naxx. That probably isn't a good suggestion if time is a problem. My third group, I focused on my tank first, then healer. I crafted the tempered saronite gear and titansteel helm/boots for my tank, then crafted a set of the frost savage gear for my disc priest. The dps were wearing whatever quest items that they have picked up. None of the bosses in heroics have an enrage timer so you can take as long as your healer's mana will allow your group to down the boss. Having a decent geared tank will save your healers mana. The professions that I leveled in my third group are mining, herbing, and enchanting. Ores are good, Herbs are good, Stacks and stacks of dream shards and abyssal crystals are very good. Skinning might be good too.

None of the bosses in heroics have an enrage timereck (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29932) has a 60-90 sec enrage timer (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=55816) - I was not able to down him the first time till i had a lot of BOE epics .. and still just barely ... was at about 1600-1700 dps
