Title says it all. I don't have a LW so this is the first time I heard of Drums. Can anyone explain to me what these are and how they work?

Looks like an awesome buff.

Theyre putting 3 items in the next patch (3.2.2 i think it is) that mimic some, what theyre considering, mandatory buffs since. One is kings, one is fort and one is MOTW. They arent AS GOOD as the actual buff but theyre close (for example the kings one is 8% to all stats instead of 10% youd get from a pally).

Nothing has officially released yet so its all subject to change.. for example, they had an INT buff too but removed it.

It's an item that is created by LW that gives your group the kings buff if you don't have a pally in your group to do it for you. It likely has X amount of charges before it is used up and you need to make more.

So is it something you can buy and use before each fight or is it LW only?

I read something about guilds having a LW in each group so they can spam drums. Seems like nobody really knows what these are or how they work.

Anyone play around with them on the PTR and know how they work?

Would be nice if it was like a one hour buff or something.

Guy says he made them on the PTR they have 50 charges. He does not say how long the buff lasts. Based on my server the mats for one of these will be about 50 gold so I would expect drums to run about 100 gold each on my server.

Here it says they are a 30 minute buff.

So it appears they will have 50 charges and they will be a 30 minute buff.

So for most heroics cast them right before the first boss mob and they should last you through a run unless you wipe.

Once upon a time, everyone seemed to have to spec leatherworking for the various drums as they were on relatively short cooldowns and you could maintain mini heroism haste buffs and what not if everyone dropped drums in sequence.

Drums then died essentially, much like sharpening stones, chain chugging potions during combat, riding crops, wizard oils, etc. These new drums are a padding for the raid buffs. So if your running without a drood, you can have a baby gift, etc.

i really think i will be replacing my balance druid because of these, i love gotw thorns etc but her dps is so much below my other shaman because of eclipse proc management and im too lazy to setup proculus/more macros i can use one of my other shaman that is allready ilvl 200+ geared and just drop in the shaman for the much higher dps and still get GotW
