with such an awesome cpu and 12gb of ram, why such a lowly video card? IMO with a system like that, it should get nothing less than a GTX 260 or 280. then u could 5box like nothing

Hmm. You're right i think im going with that video card considering im leveling 5 teams to sixty
then over the next three months im saving for 2 or three of the 295s so i can have five monitors :) but will that work for leveling / instanceing at 1-60 and maybe some of the battlegrounds ?

save your money and get the onboard network controller, that extra card is way too much for very little performance gain. put that money on a video card.
Reason you need 2 optical drives? Maybe if one was Blu-ray but not really needed now.
You put money into a case, I see that alot, I guess it matters for some, mine sits under the desk with no side on it.

No offense, but I would NOT rely on an onboard NIC. That gaming NIC is overkill. You don't get much of a boost for a ton of money, as alcattle said. You can get a nice DLINK gigabit card for $30.

As for the video card, if wow is all you want to do with the system it will work fine. You can run 5 with good fps. You could run 10 with decent fps.

I know I recommend it in every thread I post in, but consider a second HDD just for wow. Even a 74GB (if you can find one) 10k RPM Raptor would be big enough. I used a couple of 80 GB drives in a RAID0 and that worked great. Just keep in mind that with RAID0 you get no redundancy :/ You can get a 160GB 16MB cache drive for around $60, last I checked.

I have a similar setup. In dalaran and wg I still have problems. I wonder what kind of a performance boost 2 video cards would give you and/or a good intel solid state hdd.

The onboard controller is a Gigabit controller. Kind of redundant to buy yet another NIC either way, unless the extra performance is a MUST HAVE.

The 9600 series works just fine. YOU DON'T NEED A 280/285/295/275/20 FOR WOW! DON'T INSIST ON IT! A 9600GT lasted me for well over a year before I changed it out for an entirely different purpose.

Have you seen the paper launch for ATI's new graphics card? I'd rather save up for the highest end if I wanted multiple monitors. (If I had to have a one-card solution, either way it seems easier than putting three graphics cards into one computer. It'd also be more power efficient) Event then you could go with two of the lower end cards and still get six monitors.
