While reading posts of WoW boxers stories about being reported I wondered if any that box Lotro had been reported. If so do tell :)

I was removed from beta for boxing, even though I was really just world exploring, doing RP stuff, and trying to make the music system work with all the characters. I talked to someone for a few seconds, long enough for them to tell me 'i was soiling the game.' They also wanted to know where I got my beta invite from and so forth.

I thought the game had a lot of promise before I played it, the PvM system and their talent system (much like how 85+ talents will be in in WoW4.0).

Edit: I was using hardware only / xkeys.

When i was dualboxing I never got reported, I talke dot a GM about it and he said it was ok as long as I controlled the char (so no botting).

Which program do you use for dualboxing?

I never had a problem when I was 5-boxing in LOTRO. I had a kinmate raise a fuss once when I first started dual-boxing, but I quickly quashed that, since he was claiming I was botting.

When Carn Dum had the castle problem (couldn't zone into the Carn Dum castle) and I was regularly farming Rune of Winged Dominances, I had a number of CSRs come out to port me inside. One specifically asked me if there were 5 different people, or if someone was boxing, and I had a short conversation with her about me 5-boxing. She was taking screenshots of my 4 Dwarven RKs in their matching outfits (in different colors).

I had a guy last night report a gold farmer in /ooc. Since, I thought he was referring to me, I asked him about it. He said he thought I was cheating, so I explained and all was well. Then, a few minutes later, I got a message from a guy telling me that people like me were ruining the game. I asked him what he meant. He simply stated that I should try playing the game solo instead of five characters at once. I informed him that I have soloed five characters to level 60, but was unable to find a kin that would accept me. He thought I was BSing him, but I eventually convinced him. I have had terrible luck with kins in LOTRO. I have jumped through all the hoops, filled out all of their online forms, and been rejected 5 times. Each time it has been a different kin with the same response. They don't need anymore guardians... my main. Since I can't find a group, I made my own.

It's been hilarious watching syncronized loremasters single shot kill everything, and bear pets are a hoot. I get xp just from walking through mobs with all five bears on agreesive and letting my pets kill everything on the way to my next quest.

Yeah :) I got my first reported incident of cheating in LOTRO Yesterday. I feel honor that there are still people who do understand that controlling a lot of chars at once is hardly cheating, its a challenge and a bit of chore.

The admin was kind and allowed me to answer each tell on my chars. and it was not a violation, since multiboxing is ok as long as your in controlled of your chars. :)

Whats funny is most of the gold farmers now are relying on people to sell them gold at low prices then they turn around and sell it back at higher prices. So the farmers are no longer farming like they used to in LOTRO. Turbine has managed to take the problem down considerably. Also when you visit Bree you longer get spam like you used to.

I was out in Lone Lands power leveling a new champ and had a few grifers send me tells, they thought power leveling was cheating somehow, and took it upon them selves to punnish me. Any way I reported them six times over for harassment on differrent accounts, and a GM took care of them. This was six months ago though, I would just ignore them now since they can;t effect my game play or get me banned. I've talked to a few GMs about boxing and I always explain how I box.... with INnerspace etc. They say its fine etc, just no botting.....
