I use 2 computers to box, the main one has 6 WoWs, the other has 4. I have a 20mb connection (FIOS).

I was about to create 10 gnomes and see how much stress 10boxing would create on the machines. I got to the create a new character screen and after about 1 minute or so one of the instances on the main computer would disconnect from the create-a-character screen. I logged it back in, then a few seconds later another one would disconnect on the main computer.

The other computer with 4 on it never has any disconnects.

Anybody have any ideas?

Ok, so now I split the computers so each one has 5. I then got disconnects on both computers, after a few minutes. What the hell is going on....

Is it possible you aren't choosing the correct accounts from the pull down menu if you have a bnet account?

Sometimes I pick the wrong ones and it will disconnect the one you had logged in first.

I don't use bnet yet, all the accounts names are prefilled in by keyclone.

Ok this is really strange now. I launched 5 total - like I have been doing all week - and I still get disconnects!

The only thing I've done is upgrade my computers to windows 7....

Wow this sucks! 2 will even disconnect, but running one will never disconnect. I also just found out my Paladins 1h skill is back to 1! WTF?!

*edit* nm the skill wasn't reset, haha I'm going insane.

What's your home network look like? WiFi? Hard wired? Router brand/model? Drivers up to date? You know the checklist...

Since when and how long have you been experiencing these problems?

I had this problem when my second computer was running out of RAM. My settings were too high and I didn't realize it.

After a while I started to realize that the only ones that disconnected were running from a different WoW folder on D:. The one that was running from a WoW folder on E: never disconnected. I decided to change the symlink on the folder on D: and point it to the "data" in the WoW folder on E:. This solved the problem.

The only thing special about the WoW folder on E:, was that I copied it from one hard drive, to a newer faster one. That was it....

I then copied the files in "data" on E: to my other computer and overwrote the ones there. I then logged in and was able to 5 box again without issues.

Didn't get around to testing 10boxing again as I had boosting to catch up on, but it is very strange how that fixed it.
