While fixing some Macros in Gadgetzan last night I was confronted by a very hostile Blood Elf who told me:
"Grow a dick you multiboxing fag."
I was glad that someone was so upset about multiboxing that they had to use language like that towards me.
I didn't respond and reported him of course. I can't belive some people get that worked up over something that has no affect on them at all.

Oh yeah, I get it every other day. Look at some of my previous posts. I actually take screenshots and we laugh about some of the stupid stuff people say to me and about multiboxing.

I get it rarely. More often it's people who are positive with a few neutrals thrown in for spice..

I get it a lot, I usually screenshot the good ones.
People hate being ignored more than anything. Not ignore list, I mean not even acknowledging them at all.
I don't reply to the tells, I don't add them to my ignore list (they aren't even worth a spot there), and if they like to circle around me or do stupid emotes then I won't even so much as move or cast anything.
Usualy get this in WSG ect. mainly because I'm still gearing up i suppose, which seriously handicaps my team, but oh well, I just ignore the hate :P

I get this alot from opposite faction after a wg. Now that you can have bout factions on a server, plenty people relog and start flaming with they'r level 1 NE.

I asked a guy who was obviously two boxing if he was multiboxing and he got a little defensive, as if he thought I was about to flame him. So I told him "Awesome! I have a 10 man team I box here too!" Lol, he almost pooped. It's easy to think you are alone and that everyone you meet hates you for boxing.

Reporting rather than rising to the bait is a Good Thing(tm) :)
When I first started boxing in 2007, I used to get HUGE amounts of random hate from people for no apparent reason. I even named my guild after the most common comment (<Reported>).
It's tailed off into complete insignificance now that multiboxing - or at least awareness of it - is pretty much mainstream.
I think I've had one hateful whisper in the past 6 months, and that was from a team-mate in Wintergrasp who just happened to be riding past when I was successfully defending a vehicle factory.
Humans are a funny breed, especially when they have complete anonymity in a game where there are NO consequences for being a dick.
Oh, for a free-for-all PvP server..... ;)

Ive been leveling my shammies, all wearing the same gear (BoA stuff) same names, (different characters for vowels) and it seems that nearly every BG i get into, there's someone who is shocked at boxing. Most of it is good though, especially if we win. I've turned the tides on more than a few occasions by showing up at the right time and killing 3-4 horde right before we cap something, or landing 5 chain heals on a group in trouble. dont get much, if any hate though, and if I do I just laugh it off.

(on a sidenote: I do kinda miss the harsh whilspers now and then, i got nothing funny to screenshot anymore=))

I've not really got much hate at all.
The most annoying thing I've had is A couple of folks that tried to educate me that I would lose my accounts due to this cheating. They seem very reasonable but despite telling them it's within the terms of service and there are plenty of blue posts saying so they won't budge.
I do multibox with a feeling of unease - expecting to get grief at any moment.

AV is not bad for me either most of the time. But then again I think people are just happy to see a group who is not 71.

I get a mix of hate and praise. One server is particularly hostile - a pvp server. The pve server I"m on is generally nice and surprised. On the pvp server if I'm hanging out in IF, it usually goes like this:
person1: wow 5 shamans
person2: lolz
person1: how do you do that?
person3: loser
person2: its cheating, he has no life
person4: haha multiboxing
person5: 'whisper' what program do you use?
person6: u must have no life, hahaha

The hate has nearly diapered for me. Earlier this week I got hate messages from and entire arena team I decimated, but that's to be expected. I suspect it is my gear level and performance which speak for themselves.
It may be petty, but I enjoy reporting people for use of vulgar language. It doesn't offend me, but it is a more serious violation than MY cheating.

I've had a few run ins - mostly funny how upset people get.
Most folks however have been interested or let me know they are boxing and some just come out of the blue and start asking about my setup etc.
There was a boxer on my server before me that probably took most of the hate and did enough educating that I'm not seeing the tards that many others here have to deal with.
