Arena Rating So Far.

So whats all the MBer's 5v5 ratin up to atm? I hit 1405 and still going strong with a priest and druid as healers. Just curious how well others are doing.

Yeah I need to find a few reliable healers to play with so I haven't tried this season.

Im at 1022, but i just got started. to bad my healer is moving to another city though... But i have a full furious protpala healer that wants to try me out so lets see what happens ;)

600 so far 4 manning the 5v5s so far, but only doing my 10 games a week really lol. gotta find a healer willing to join my team.

1600ish. Haven't played nearly as much as I planned on cause my priest has been flaky lately. Should have been 1900 first week if we were smart.

For those with many games worth of experience under their belts, in general do you find it better to immediately move in to attack or hang out by a pillar and wait for them?

At 1400 I ran in all the time till i hit about 1600 then all the real teams start to play on my BG So at a low level team it is best to run in! untill you hit 1500+ You dont want them to plan a strat on you you rush in they dont know who to go for and by the time they do...2 of them are dead in my position lol

Well my healer from last season has completely disappeared, so only a few hundred. Recruited a full furious priest last week, but then he never logged on and quit the team the other day with no notice.

I don't even know where to look for healers at this point, there just aren't many on my server. Everyone already knows who I am, I used to get offers all the time when I had my paladin, now - nothing.

Hard time finding healers now also.. Seems everyone plays pvp dps spec now that there is dualspec they just switch over to dps when they go pvp instead of staying heals (raid spec)... So all the healer classes has dps pvp gear not heals! (that and everyone plays nub dks now)

Only shamans, just edit the shamans for druids or w/e to check other classes.
I just wish i had more time to play, podbots have not played anything this week yet :(.

I'm clearly PVP inept - running 3 shammies, Boomkin and holy paladin (no dedicated healer), I've run 40 games with 1 win, and that was against a 4 person team that I think was just farming arena points.

I've tried rushes, I've tried defensive postioning, using focus targets so they don't see who I am really targetting, etc.

I keep trolling the mbox forum to pull up other nuggets of info, but I think I need way more practice.

I think I'm rated around 88 at the moment. For the last two weeks I queue 10 games, and half way through switch from my priest to paladin so they all get points. Lack of healers and FoK anbeing DK grabbed all over the place hasn't motivated me to play 5v5 really.

But I did get 1310 in 3v3 so far with minimal effort.. so getting those relenetless pieces slowly.

woo hit 1620 tonight. switched back to pally healer. Silence immune is so nice. I dont know why but having a real hard time with wizard cleave teams those pesky warlock/ele sham/frost mage combos directed at my main shaman every time sucks. Grounding totem only goes so far...

I am just spittballing here, but I am curious if anyone is planning on doing rated Bgs once they come out with other boxers? I understand that some BGs are harder for boxers with multiple objectives. I am curious none the less to see if there would be any interest in congregating to a certain server?

Im down for the long haul on that. It will be hard at first, Im sure you will run into Relentless equipped premades where one rogue/paladin/dk can take on your whole group of shamans.

I just started last night doing 5v5 this season with a pally healer. Man I got stomped badly went 1-6 before my pally went AWOL for the night. Was not exactly the way I planned on starting out.

haha I can't get anywhere in 3v3 as straight 3 shaman either. Most teams either global me right away, or warriors Bladestorm my ass, or rogues lock me down. Always something....

Unless I quit the game for some reason, I plan on putting a serious effort forth in rated BGs. I think there is some very strong potential in EOTS/AB/WSG for 3 separate boxer groups. I also believe that a 4boxer+dedicated healer is much stronger than 5box dps/hybrid.

A 15man BG team comprised of 3 4xshaman/4xwarlock groups each with a dedicated healer would be unstoppable in these battlegrounds. (I say warlock because saturday I dinged 80 on my 4x lock team... and they are ALREADY just stupid awesome in BGs)

So ya, I'd be game. I always wished there were hardcore pvp boxers I could hang out with on a daily basis.

mostly we play that "normal" lineup but sometimes i do also some games with my toons working very well since 3.2.2 15-1

yeah i have a secound resto spec but i didn't use that spec for pvp .. also not for pve ... that was just wasting 1k gold^^

Still 0 - only played 10 games so far but zOMGwtfBBQ (as they say) I won one! (three actually but two were no-shows)

Got really lucky as they didn't seem to have any resilience, focused on one of the alts first not the main toon (luckily as I don't have a leader swap setup yet DOH!) and also kept on LOSing their own healer.

I'm so tempted to just transfer my Alliance toons to Horde because most of my guild swapped over a few weeks ago and I can't find any healers willing to spend enough time with me to learn to get 5v5 down.

What type of shamans is everyone using? I just can't seem to get even past 100 this season as alliance on us cyclone

I'm on cyclone as well but running Orc's ( always have ), team rating is pretty modest right now though. Main reason for that is I just lost interest in PvP at the start of s7 when I started seeing every team running around with multiple 35k hp+ people it got really frustrating watching people eat entire lvb combo's without even touching a cd, trying to work through that though. Sitting in the mid 1600's atm, just havnt done many games yet, MMR is floating in the 1900s though.

I don't know if it would be worth it to swap my toons to either orc or tauren. It just seems eithe racial would work better in pvp. Maybe two of each?

go orc, the stam buff is nice but the extra spellpower will make it so u will get those annoying guys that live with 2% health down..
the 5% buff of stamina is like 400health.. whens that last time all ur characters got down to 400 health then came back to win? i dont think so, but how many times have people got that stupid almost dead, run behind pillar or pali bubble then come back to beat u?

Using Innerspace instead of Keyclone.

My frame rates jumped from 30-15 (main-slaves) to 62-20.

Gladiator is in my future.

I must say if you are trying to softbox in arena with keyclone...you'd do much better with innerspace just from the performance improvement in both frame rates and key passes. .

Wow I looked at the demo for ISboxer and was pleased. I looks fairly simple to use and the PIP swap was like crazy fast. Nothing like keyclone.

My only question would be would it be easy to switch macro's DNP and such from Keyclone to Isboxer?

Ahh nevermind looks like quite a bit of work. IE a full weekend for me to get this up and running.

This is an interesting statement, thank you. I was looking at ISboxer for those 2 reasons, but never did it because of the foreign setup. I think I'll be switching for arena purposes.

Isboxer is lightyears ahead of anything else available, once your familiar with the interface its a massive time saver as well. If electik's post wasn't a big enough nudge in that direction.

I didn't mean to highjack the thread and wasn't sure how to say how good IS Boxer was without putting down Keyclone. Nicely put Clovis.

I achieved S4 Glad with Keyclone. For whatever reason Keyclone is not holding up: losing PiP, not passing modifiers. in the end it doesn't lead to success, in the arena you need to be fighting the other 5 people not your SW.

IS Boxer solved all those problems for me. And the mouse pass feature is priceless for Quest/Honor/Daily turn ins.

man I dont know whats up, just hit like 850 today, fighting teams that are 1300-1700 MMR, last week I was 611 rating and that put me ranked at 182 for 5v5.

Seems like no one is really doing 5v5 =/.
