I thought I would start an HToC hint thread since the other thread has gotten so long and it is hard to pick out the nuggets of wisdom. Please take the time to post your hints in this thread for all the other boxers having problems clearing HToC.

Here are some things I do.

First Encounter: Zone in and start with one party member. The announcer will only announce one random person from your party this saves you some time on getting the dungeon going.

First Encounter: If I do not like the combo of champs that come out IE healer + aoe poison guy. I zone out and use reset instance option. Even though you do not get a message it will reset the instance and hopefully get some champs that are a bit easier. Personally I don't like avoiding aoe poision, healing, dpsing, and breaking healing waves all at the same time.

First Encounter: Line your guys up with their backs to the wall and /assist your main and mash 1,2,4. The real trick here is once the boss mobs break off and come back in for the attack whichever person in your party is taking damage needs to be immediatly moved out to get a fresh horse. I have found that waiting after they charge back in can often mean losing a slave here.

First Encounter: Timing out the boss mobs. I use the back against the wall 1,2,4 mash button thing. However I only bother to switch out my main. I just let my slaves die or I am kind of lazy about swapping them out. What usually happens is after the first boss is down around the time the second boss is close to dying or dies the encounter will just advance to the next stage. I routinely finish this part and never actually demount the third boss.

Second Encounter: A groudning totem rotation on the woman is huge in this fight. I have all my shamans dropping grounders and then have a /click rotation to bring fresh grounders in when the cooldown is up.

Second Encounter: Having a way to recover after fear bomb IE click to move of focusing gem is a great help in this fight.

Second Encounter: Purging off the renew on the waking memory is awesome. Her renew is crazy big healing. He can certianly be dropped without purging but it takes a lot longer and if your gear is not up to par you may run out of mana before the memory dies.

Third Encounter: I dps through stage one and two using heroism in stage two. I fight with my tank and my guys at medium range and facing the black knight. When the black knight hits 15k or less I hit autorun and spam /follow. This moves my guys away from all the zombies that are about to explode.

Third Encounter: While he is rezzing I have time to turn them and put out fresh totems. I use holy nova, circle of healing, and chain heal to stay alive through his AOE then I just burn him down in between heals. I also have frost/shadow resist from totems/priest to help midigate his nuking damage.

I know there is alot more to these fights than what I just posted. These were just the sticklers that I had to figure out in order to beat the dungeon. I figured if we all post about the parts we struggle with and how we beat them then it will really help out the other multi boxers struggling with it.

I still wipe a few times when doing HToC but I can clear the dungeon out and I feel I have come along way from the days I spent just wipng over and over again in the jousting part.

If you can clear HToC then normal mode is easy sauce. ACs on my server run 100 to 120 gold and most boxers can clear normal ToC five times an hour so on my server I can make about 2500 gold an hour on normal mode.

Black Knight Phase 2 - If you are struggling DPS and have shammies pop Fire Elemental and DPS down the ghouls first
