I have read through most of the stickies here, and I haven't really seen anyone mention duel (or more) boxing twinks. I plan on making two 29 mages, and I am curious of any PVP related suggestions you could make for duel boxing two mages.

As of right now, I have all spells done via macro on the clone, starting with /assist party 1 then cast the spell. Is there a better way to create a bit more diversity, so that I don't have both mages always casting the same spell?

On the issue of control, is there a more elegant way to control the clone, other then /follow party 1? I am using two copies of wow on one pc, split horizontally.

Thank you in advance for any advice, or suggestions.

its come up in the past about twinks, and it seems the biggest problem lies with melee classes get the most 'twink' for your gold, they scale far more than casters do with gear and enchants.

and as of yet noones really had any luck with melee boxing in pvp senarios.

as for your spell set up, its common that if you have 2 of the same class you mostly have them doing the same thing at the same time this is due to the cast times or what ever but theres nothing stopping you playing about with different combinations.

on my druids all my spells are the same this is so i can nuke a target down quicker.

there is pretty much only one way you can move 2 or more characters and thats following your main characer, you could use key strokes or somthing else that people talk about here (forgive me i cant remember what they called it) but it will have bad resuslts due to any latencey difference between the 2 accounds. example if you turn your main 20 degrees left your clone might only turn 15 degrees left and when they both start running in a line they will be running away from each other.

If pvp is what you want from boxing i would recomend getting to a level where your not going to be dominated by the advantages that a melee twink has. they would suck the fun out of it and you will be more than likely over run, ive tried boxing in low level battlegrounds you do get alot of kills but my 4 warlocks 1 priest on full burst could still get hammered by the twinked 29 warriors they hit like a truck, was a boxing pvp noob so dont expect that to always be the case but i would not put boxing and twinking together.

dont want to discourage you at all but thats what i fell towards it you will get steam rolled, if you want to make 2 29 twinks i would suggest rolling a pvp realm and just go gank people 10 levels higher than you in stranglethron vale. much more fun, till they come back with their level 70 mains and one shot you and decide to camp you for the rest of the night but thats what spirt res is for.

As someone who has twinked both casters (lock, druid, mage, hunter, priest) and melee (warrior, paladin), I'd agree on the main point that Simpletom says about scaling at lower levels.

Caster twinks, however, really come into their own post 35, when they can make use of Outland enchants and buffs.

Multiboxing works best for caster classes, so I'd recommend either lock or mage for dps, and perhaps 2x shammy for mixed dps and heal ability.

But be prepared for a shock even if twinked, pvp moves fast, and my druid (tank), shammy (healer), and 2x lock, even semi twinked, got pwned pretty damned fast at 39. I should have stayed and practiced more, but I got really disheartened and levelled instead. Stick with 1 class for simplicity, make it a caster.... and go for 39, that's my advice.
