View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Problems with /follow

I know this topic has been beaten to death and I'm sorry for creating another thread. But after reading many other posts I can't seem to find my exact answer.

So...I installed Inner Space then configured ISBoxer for my 3 characters using the Wizard. Everything went smoothly and, after exporting my settings, I was able to launch the three accounts. When I use the "walk" key all 3 toons take off in whatever direction they happen to be facing, as many others have reported. I have a /follow macro for my 2 slaves and that works until I have to turn. So, if I spam that key I'm able to move around. :)

I have seen lots of answers to these sorts of questions but the solutions seem OVERLY complex. From the number of times this has been posted it seems to be something that others have seen. So, either...
1. Something went wrong when I ran the Wizard;
2. I have something (some checkbox) checked/unchecked incorrectly;
3. Something that I wouldn't think of in a million years. :)

What am I missing?

Thanks.

I recently copied my config to laptop from desktop and have a problem with follow not working also. However the fact your characters are all running whatever direction they are pointing sounds like maybe broadcast is turned on? Try shift-alt-r to and see if it puts message Broadcast off on screen, or if it fixes. Totally a guess from a novice, but something to try.

Thanks for trying delosw. Entering ctrl-alt-r turned broadcasting on. I toggled it back off but characters still run on their own.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

You either have repeater on still OR you are broadcasting your ASDW keys.

I'd need to see your configuration to tell you which. Use pastebin.com and paste the URL here or zip and attach your config file.

Thanks Zanthor. Zipped config attached.

The follow seems to be working correctly now. Not sure what happened but I can move properly now. Thanks for the help.

Nope...spoke too soon.

I don't even know how to describe this...

Launch ISBoxer
Three sessions start (as expected)
I start running and the two slaves follow
As I move my mouse around for <whatever> one of the other sessions jumps to the main screen
Then the third character "vibrates" back and forth trying to figure out who to follow.

wtf...................

Also, when I first ran the wizard there was a cursor on each screen but now they are gone. What do I do to run them back on? I vaguely remember a setting that was something like "enable fake cursor blah blah" somewhere.

Sounds like you may have mouse repeater turned on. I'll take a look at the config when I get home.
