Lost a druid on my account

Well, this pretty much made me sick to my stomach but I just found out one of my druids (lvl 72) is gone. I had 'thought' I transferred it to another account but something must have happened and it is not on any of my accounts. It still shows up as a member of my guild so I am pretty confused.

So I am thinking I accidentally deleted it and this would have been several months ago. I am not even going to attempt to recover it because I can't imagine they would keep data like that for 6 months and be able to recover it.

So I am rolling a new druid team non-raf.

If you'd deleted it, it would not show up in the guild roster any more. I'd raise a ticket to see if it can be found.

I totally understand ur frustration, but making a ticket does not take long, and its worth the time...even if it's a small chanse they could recover it.

Yep if it's in guild Its not deleted, go check with blizzard u might of sent to a different account by accident, Aja wrong name..

I would sit on a ticket till you got to talk with a GM. I am sure they can fix it. Yikes losing a druid :(

How long ago do you think you did the transfer?

I had a character completely disappear for three or four days during a transfer but the account guys managed to find him for me and put him back where he belongs.

If he still appears on your guild roster then he does actually exist *somewhere*. Those druids are sneaky buggers anyway!

Check all of your accounts (just to avoid embarassment ;) ), then as others have said, raise a ticket.

Yea, I guess it is worth at least trying. Can I submit a ticket from the website or does it have to be in game? And yea, those druids are sneaky bastards. He is probably laughing at my tears.

I'd either give the account management team a call or raise a ticket in-game if I were you. I suspect it's going to end up with the account management guys either way though.

I've never had good experience with the web-based ticketing system - it always seems to take literally weeks to get anything back, but then perhaps they prioritise the tickets and I've never used it for anything that important :)

Do check all your accounts first though - one of my "lost" characters once appeared on entirely the wrong account. Not my fault, obviously...... *cough*.

I do know that a guildie of mine got a character reinstated a long time after deleting it, so it may be worth a shot.

oh - check you didn't mistakenly transfer it to another realm.
Perhaps getting a drop down wrong whilst doing a transfer.

You can see your character transfer history if you log into account management on the web. It shows the account name and realm destination of any transfers you made off that account. Go in and check your accounts.

Thanks, I'll check this out when this function is available. Seems to always go down when servers are under maintenance.

You should be able to check your account and look up your transfer history for the details. I've had so many rafs and accounts, I accidentally transferred a toon to an account that I closed already.

I've had a deleted toon restored well past the 6 month mark. I had deleted my NE priest after I found out she'd never get fear ward and rolled a Draenei priest instead. After Blizzard nerfed FW and gave it to everyone I decided to have my original priest ressurrected. It took a while during restoration because I had reused the name and so once the GM worked it out and restored the toon I was able to change the name next time I logged it in.

Grats on finding your toon but I figured I'd add a note on deleted toons here directly from Blizzard (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=19324&pageNumber=1&searchQuery=delete+account):


deleted characters on an account will be permanently removed from our databases and become unrecoverable after a certain length of time, depending on their level:

1-30: Deleted after two months.
31-49: Deleted after four months.
50 and above: Never deleted.

As for cancelled accounts from the same link:


Blizzard's current policy is never to delete active characters of inactive accounts. If you reactivate your account at any point in the future, your characters will be ready to play. If this policy changes at any point in the future, it will be announced on www.worldofwarcraft.com (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/).

Everyone helped and it was much appreciated! Logged on and everything is working perfectly. Love the new cat form! Mine are dark and very evil looking which is appropriate. :)
