Shout out to the Melee-Boxers

Just a shout out to my fellow melee boxing homees. Tonight I cleared Utgarde Keep and Drak'tharon with a melee group consisting of Frost DK, Fury War, Combat Rogue, Marks Hunter, and Discipline Priest. 7 badges isn't bad for my first night of serious heroic running.

Any other melee boxers out there running heroics? If you have any tips, I'd appreciate them.

I'm boxing a team of pallies. one prot and 4 rets. so far all i can clear is UK and Nexus. Stealthy is doing the same but he is doing better than me and is clearing a lot more of them. i got a little burned out on the heroic grind and started gearing my locks for pvp.

That is hardcore. You need to make a video of that and post it for us to see. Oh and which guy do you controll the DK ?????

Currently I am controlling the feral druid because he is 80 (the others are all 65-67). I plan on tanking with the DK though so I will control him at that point.

There is no dedicated healer.. if I cant pull it off, I will have to hybridize the shammy some for more resto goodness to handle healing, he is currently my lowest DPS because he cant AOE like the others can.

If you think about it, all the others have AOE spam.

Druid - Swipe, 2 target maul (glyphed)
Pally - Consecration, divine storm, new seal of command will hit 2 targets if you choose to use that
DK - pestilence + blood strike, death and decay for opener.
Warrior - whirlwind spam, cleave.
Shaman............... chain lightninig? Lol. Wtb enhancement shaman AOE =)

The AOE capability is crazy.

Magma totem and fire nova (glyphed) work well for enhancement AoE - at least that has been my experience.

I've run 5x pally and they were lots of fun to get to 80. Nothing was faster or more fun.

I personally didn't have as much success with them in heroics as I would have liked and I kind of stopped playing them. It just depended on the instance. the last boss in old kingdom was SUPER easy with 5x pallys.

I didn't like the fact that there seems to be a lot of AoE boss spells that affect a players close to each other really bad but don't seem to affect spread out solo players hardly at all.... it's almost like the damage is multiplied on targets next to each other. Ionar's spiders come to mind.... I just heal through them with spread out shaman and watch my pallys go poof, I probably can bubble through it now that they have him only splitting up once.

I may brush the dust off them and play them some more, I've kind of geared out my main team and most of my alts.
