Ok I have this really annoying thing going on in WoW. Some of my slaves will be at odd angles ever since I started monkeying around with the camera binds. Is there anyway to go back to the normal view where camera follows behind? I get all sorts of retarded stuff where camera is facing the side of the paladin or the front, so damn annoying.

edit: I just had an AV where my leader was unable to move camera from in front of him. I had to switch to a different leader it was so damn annoying.

Sigh... no one knows? There is no command to reset to the normal camera angle?

I set a macro to :

/script SetView(5);SetView(5)

This resets the camera and position. Hopefully that is what you need.

I have this happen every once in a while. My solution was to log out-in, then problem was solved.

Note that all this does is set your camera view to the saved 5th camera. If the 5th camera setting is fubar, it won't help.

How does a setview get fubar'd? That is a serious question by the way. Do you mean improperly set or is there a bug of some sort? I have issues myself if the camera is set on Smart but if set Camera to Always it seems to work alright. Still messing with this.

When I was first playing around with the camera angle settings on my guys (at the same time was figuring out the server-side settings crap) I had a hell of a time getting it to save camera angles between restarts. Still not sure what I did to fix it other than manually going in and zooming out to where I wanted it, then hitting the "Save View x" keybinds. It's been OK since I set it up initially but getting all 5 set up properly and in sync was a bitch.

I still need to tweak my setview. I will probably find a wall and align it like headlights on a car. I do not have all the views exactly the same I still have to click shift over a bit and click again. Minor annoyance but it can be improved for sure.

Can't you just hit the HOME key?

That makes your toon look ahead of itself. OP was just trying to see from back of all toons with a macro. I thought the setview(5) did it, not sure now

Getting to a camera view isn't the problem. Problem is when the camera view you want is set to something screwy so you can't see what you're trying to blow up. At least, I think that's the trouble. Part of it anyway. :P

ya thats the trouble, sometimes camera will get stuck facing really really weird camera angles. Like after a fear bomb, really annoying.

I've had this happen to one of my guys (the same guy, oddly enough) a couple of times. The camera got permanently stuck on a sideways view for some reason, and I didn't even have keys bound to set the view so it wasn't just me hitting the wrong key under duress!

The first time I temporarily bound a key to save the view and manually reset it. The second time I just deleted my "camera settings.txt" file, which was fine for me because I use the default "view 5" on all my guys.

But I never found a way to instantly fix it in battle.
