Has anyone run normal Northrend dungeons with a geared paladin and 4 lowbie slaves? I know my prot paladin can solo most normal mode dungeons easily. Has anyone tried this and did you get good xp?

I leveled 3 locks with my prot pally and holy priest, and it was slow going due to the tank's slow killing, and only sped up once the locks started getting gear and lvls, then i was roflstomping stuff. I've boosted from 10-60 before and it definately slows down as the toons being boosted get closer to the booster, unless they are also capable of increasing DPS.

Just do AV, its what I plan on doing to my next 2 teams, either exclusively, or avoiding collection quests

Just do AV. It's 4-6 hours a level all the way to 80 and you can do as many characters as you want. It's virtually no effort (I've 8 boxed it before in 2 different battlegrounds), and the xp and honor just pile up.

From what Im reading on other boards AV xp has been nerfed slightly. Some were saying that they were getting 40k xp per objective and now its 25kish.

I've done it with my hunters. XP SUCKS. If your toons are more than 5 levels apart, its waaaay faster just to quest.

Damn I was hoping it would be slightly faster. Gotta fix computer before I worry about these things I guess.

Yea, my Pally tanks Heroic T8/9 geared but still doing Northrend Instances is insanely slow for several reasons:

1.) You cant chain half the instance and clear it in a few pulls like most outland instances.
2.) While you may have a healer with you to aid JoL, the DPS from your slaves is pretty craptastic unless they're previous alts in BC Tier gear. As such, you kill things rather slowly.
3.) The XP per mob ratio means (from memory) you get about 10% XP per instance (I've only done Nexus).

However, I think you can enter Nexus at 65 so possibly could be a good place to level 65-70 as Northrend elites are worth more than XP Outland, haven't tested this though.

One thing I might look at, is since BG XP doesn't consume rested, in between BG's I may do the odd 5 man run for gear. Doubling the XP per instance run when rested makes them slightly more worthwhile. Even in Outland I find instance grinding painful which is why I've parked my shammy team and currently doing Northrend quests on my 70 Druid/Rogue so I can get them into the 71+ BG's with my priest.

My toons levels are rather spread out, with the majority of them being on 1 account as I'm relatively new to multi boxing so most of them got to where they are via solo levelling.. Makes putting a team together both difficult and expensive when 1 account has 4 toons, one has 3 the other 3 have 1. But I find 2 boxing on the accounts with more than 1 toon in BG's for a few days while the others get rested makes instances a lot less painful. Rested XP essentially makes 1 instance run 2.

Oh I planned on doing Northrend dungeons only. My paladins are 71 and can do decent damage. I figured go to a dungeon that will have mobs green to the 80 and go to town. Was hoping the extra healing from Divine Storm would keep paladin moving (as is he barely takes damage in heroic dungeons).

Now that I think about it I would probably have to take off armor just for him to get beat down so he can be healed and get more mana. Yea he would be constantly out of mana making this suck =(

SoW + Divine Plea + BoSanc should be all you need for mana. Nexus is a good place to start as it's probably the easiest of the normal dungeons. Tho XP/Hr I wasn't impressed.

I just used 4 elemental shaman to boost one rested level 70 through old kingdom. It took about 4 hours... kinda slow but at least I could then put her in the 71-80 av bracket. Not really worried about boosting 71-80 anymore, just trying to figure out a good way to get my new toons from 70-71... the experience for a level 70 in AV is pretty bad

Buy the 10% XP heirloom items.

68-75 Normal UK. Clear the hallway up to the furnace in one pull. Clear the furnace room in second pull. Clear the drake room third pull. Run up to the boss room, pull the 4 mobs there back to the first 3 just past the drake room and kill them there. Reset. 10 minutes max per run.

75-80 HoL. Kill the general and clear all the mobs on pathway he patrols around, then reset. Since theyre in manageable camps, you can pull as many as you feel comfortable with. If you're leveling healers, you can clear faster. I was able to clear the whole pathway in 3 pulls leveling my druids with my paladin. Roughly 15 minutes per run.

At minimum level for the instance it starts out around 120,000-160,000 per run, scaling down to around 80,000-100,000 per run when your lowbies start to outlevel the mobs. I doubt you will see a reliable average of 100k per 15 minutes in AV or questing.
