Need some help with a macro =/

My macro:
[code:1]#show Shadow Word: Pain
#showtooltip Shadow Word: Pain
/assist Alphà
/cast Shadow Word Pain
[/code:1]

Does not work, may anyone point out whats wrong with it? :cry:

My other macro
[code:1]#show Smite
#showtooltip Smite
/assist Alphà
/cast Smite
[/code:1]
Works fine!

Try:

ShadowWord Pain

or

ShadowWord: Pain

or

Shadow Word: Pain




or go to your spellbook and shift click the spell wen you have your macro window open :) and then remember to move the rank away so you dotn ahve to uppdate ;)

Thanks for the help, but thats not the problem. (My bad i should have been more specific.)

It wont cast at my warlocks (Alphà, maybe the ` above the "A" is the problem) target.

BTW I got a level 70 Shaman at Frostmane EU, Zirma (My main).

The only thing I can say is there's probably some small typo that your brain is looking over as you read it. Go ahead and erase it, and try typing it again. Perhaps you dyslexed the s' in assist, and it's hard to see that when you're quickly looking over it.

Horde or Ally? :) and do you multibox on the same server? and if not come over here then i think wel be 4 that multibox on frostmane horde :)

If this is really verbatim what you've typed, the last line is a typo. "Shadow Word Pain" needs a colon added. Also, you don't need both #show and #showtooltip, they're synonyms for the same command.

I thought
#show
was for showing the cooldown of the selected spell, so if for example it was Auto Shot that was there, it would show the range display and also the shaded clock for it.
#showtooltip
was for actually adding the tooltip to show the specifics of a spell, ie all the gumph for example, "Hunter's Mark This marks your target and gives attackers a increase in ranged power for a period of time" (or whatever it says)

#show is for showing Icon/Cooldown/Range, i'm too lazy to pick icons from the list.
#showtooltip is for showing the Tooltip, as Khayos said.

Im almost sure afte last patch if you have showtooltip you dont need show anymore.
