hay, maybe it's just me, but if you [quote] someone who has use vulgar language in a post
Even if it shows up at @#$%$ you can receive a 72 hour ban First offence...
This is in reference to the official World of Warcraft web site forums.

I had just reactivated the account, one that I had NEVER posted on before ever...

and the reply to my wondering why I received the temp ban was...


After reviewing your account's forum record, we have determined that the appropriate action was taken and will not be repealed.

NEVER had posted on that account before Ever but my "Record with this account" determined that a 72 hour forum ban was "appropriate"

do they have a Horde of monkeys working in this department?!

I understand their thinking but I do question how they handly quoting something that shows as @#@#$ to you. Is there a way to determine that someone just typed it or if its a filter?? I type @#%$#$# all the time when I want to express explatives.

Wow hmm I now feel like reporting every single post with ^*%&^$ in it from now until dooms day!
lets see them ban 1,000,000 accounts for ahh heck I won't but just ticks me off that they are
just that dumb...

This isn't exactly news...swearing in game or on the forums has been an reportable offense since the game was launched.

Becuase of the sheer volume of posts, Blizz usually only look at the threads where a post has been reported. Hence the reason so many seem to get away with it.
