Alienware Area-51 7500 Memory Issue

I got one of these fairly cheap (the Lan Gaming center near me closed). There seems to be a problem if you try to put 4gb or more of RAM. My friend has one also and he experienced video problems. I experienced BSOD (which I rarely see on Win XP 32). The problem only happens if we go from 2gb to 4gb.

Anyone have any experience with these (glad I got a deal on it).

start by running memtest86 it tells you fast if your ram is bad. try all 4 gb then swap 2 chips at a time.
