Interesting stuff. I wonder if there could be an MMO that will come out of the collaboration of these two giants.

I feel this is a bad move on Disney's part. Lot a people I know are sick to death of hero movies and that's all Marvel has... they should have bought them 5 years ago for a fraction of the price =)

This feels like it's going to suck to me =/ Personally I love the super hero movies. Even the bad ones aren't to bad. Except that one hulk lets pretend that didn't happen. I was never much of a DC fan but collected the marvel when I was a kid. Still have them around in a box somewhere lol. For me though I can't imagine a Disney doing punisher or wolverine movie. At least not right. Unless they put it under one of their other names so it doesn't say Disney. Then they should be able to do whatever they want with it.

Wolverine Mickey is where this is headed! Although, honestly, Marvel doesnt like to venture into the R category with its main titles, either.

lets just hope that if disney does make their own versions of the xmen, they actually stick to the original story lines from the comics. and get the voices right on certain characters.

Disney's stocks went down today, and marvels went up.
What has me thinking, Will Universal, who has a number of marvel movies coming out, now have to pay Disney?
ahh well, Two more questions.
Will 13 yo's be wanting more ariel, or Emma frost?
when can we expect to see...

Everytime I see that title I instinctively read it as "Disney burying Marvel."

meh. I don't think it's bad per se, and my last post was just me being glib after server shutdowns.
I mean Disney was the back bone for those Quentin Tarintino movies. So they can do a gritty movie if they want. It's just that Disney has the rep for watering down classic stories. Don't get me wrong, I love disney movies, but the one thing that tics me off big time is the music.
I can just envision Hulk and wolverine getting ready to battle, and Thor and Spidey then break out into a duet proseing on and on about the sunset.
