I just cleared the wailing caverns with my 5 shamans at level 20.

well done mate whats the xp a kill like do you find doing instances better than quests?

im 23 and just questing wondering to give instances a stab as bfd is in the area.

I find questing more efficient - simply because you can kill equal level non-elite mobs with one shock (5 toons). In the instance I had approximately 6k exp/hr mostly due to lack of mana after fights. One kill gave 80-90 exp roughly, and about 200 for the bosses. With the improved quest exp since 2.3 I believe questing is my way to go. At this stage, I consider doing an instance as a type of performance check for my setup and style of play (which needs a lot of refinement). -tracking.

I agree. At my current level, it's even more noticeable.

I'm able to level much faster through questing compared to instances.

I've found that it's faster to gather all the quests for an instance, do all the easy (killing, transporting... everything except gathering quests) quests, do the instances, turn in, then move on to the next area.
