View Full Version : [WoW] minumum players for herorics?

well I been dual-boxing for about 2 months now and I am having a blast. I originally wanted to see if I could run herorics with just two players(80 prot pally and 80 holy pally), but forgot my main objective while leveling my alt(s). So my question for those who have done herorics , what is minimum amount of players to do them? I want to 5-box, but do not think I can swing that amount of money every month for subs :(.

Well, I was helpin a guildie get his tank geared so he could run his own 5 box heroics, so we were basically running 2 DPS 1 healer 1 tank and 1 offtank, so the DPS was equivalent to just having 4 toons. It was pretty easy actually. I think that if you get one DPS that can pump out well over 3k DPS, like 5-6k DPS on boss fights, that you could 3 box heroics, provided your tank and healer are well geared. Only trouble with all of this is that if you overgear them that much, the only reason to do em is to farm badges, and if you have enchanting, u can make good money off shards (dream shards on my server regularly sell for 350G a stack of 20) If you could swing it, 4 would be pretty nice. My locks are hardly overgeared, but they do quite good DPS.

So if I were you, I'd roll up a lock and a shaman, lock for good DPS with so so gear, shaman for the same, as well as bloodlust/heroism, and totems. both of those toons can do 3k DPS easily in heroics. Holy pally isn't the ideal healer for heroics, but as long as you put beacon on the tank, quasi AOE healing is doable.

2 Manning will be tough because your Prot Pally will only be the one DPSing and your Holy paladin will drain mana in no time. I tried this before in VH but it's tough even if you have purples. Even Regular HoL will be tough with this setup

Getting 1-3 DPS - The most challenging part is healing because Holy paladin is not designed for AOE healing.

Here are the things that you can try for 2man to possibly work.
- Join 10-25man raids and gear up your tank and holy paladin
- Max Jewelcrafting for BOP bonus.
- Max your equip enchants from other professions like Enchanting Leatherworking..etc
- Max Fishing and Cooking for added buffs
- Get more enchants by exalting factions

- Judgement of the Wise will keep your mana up and other skills will help your Prot pally in DPSing like buffs, debuffs, Holy Shock..etc

Anything is possible in boxing. Just post a video if you ever succeed.

Makes me wanna form 5 blood DKs for 10man content:D

I once read in Elitistjerk that a Blood Dk can heal up to 6k every 30 seconds.
I was able to boost properly with Blood DK because of Improved Rune Tap, Vampiric Blood, Improved Death Strike, Blood Worms and Instant Cast Trinket heals

[edit] Stuff like this will get DKs nerfed again. Every time someone finds a way to scale abilities with stupid amounts of <stat> and do things not intended, they nerf those abilities. See prot/holy stam=spellpower nerf, rogue agility dodge nerf, etc. Note how many DK abilities work off of "% of maximum health."

6k every 30 seconds seems horrible tbqh.

6k per 30 is pathetic, however if you couple that with their Death Strike and insane mitigation good things happen. Notice on his armory that he only has 526 defense... I assume that he doesnt tank for anyone in that gear...
