What are you currently using? IMO the question should be which is a bigger upgrade.
I set my affinity to all and don't worry about the management. Even with an i7 920 the processor is never a bottleneck... come to think about it, there aren't any bottlenecks!
Currently i7 920 and a GTX 280. But im afraid about the majorcities...i read so much..that is dropped to 5-10 fps with isboxer.

You should be fine. If you have money to burn, then go for it, but there's no reason you should struggle based on your video card and chip.
Do you have an SSD? That would be the first place I'd think about upgrading. Get a 32GB one, stick WoW on it, and enjoy lag free playing.
First off, the i7 975e is a HUGE waste of money (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/core-i7-975,2318-11.html), you can easily overclock the 920 beyond that of the 975e and have it run stable. Second the reason why it shows you 8 cores is because intel brought back hyper threading (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper-threading), read up on that, and decide if it's really worth it. I turned mine off for a number of reasons, but the main reason for me is that it actualy decreases performance in most scenarios I would be using my computer in.
About the gfx, unless you really reeeeeeeeeeally need that 3rd or 4th monitor, I wouldnt bother at all with SLI, especialy not for WoW. Most games including wow got little to no support for SLI, and actualy runs worse with it, I recommend again that you read up on it (http://www.google.dk/search?source=ig&hl=da&rlz=&=&q=sli+%2B+wow&btnG=Google-s%C3%B8gning&meta=lr%3D&aq=f&oq=) befor making a choice.
thanks. But i have absolut no idea how i OC a i7@920..this is too hard for me i think.
Then you're in luck, because there is really nothing to it with the i7. It is by far the easiest CPU i've ever had to toy with. Heres a good start, Ultimate Core i7 Overclock Guide (http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/ultimate_core_i7_overclocking_guide_we_push_nehale m_its_limits?page=0%2C0), also Tom's Hardware (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/#redir) is filled with guides, explinations and is a very good place to ask about anything hardware related in general.

I have an OC'd 920 to 3.6Ghz and it rarely is above 50% useage. Memory access is going to be your bottleneck. Make sure you have at least 12GB RAM(if you are running 5) and second best option is to get an SSD. WoW doesnt support SLI so the second card is kinda wasted.
Oh, and this video shows how easy it is : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tANCK29c9g

I went from a 920 to a 975 extreme. Yes...HUGE WASTE OF $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Yes, you can always overclock the next rung down to run as fast as the stock speeds of the next rung up and many times you can overclock the very top end farther then the next rung down can acheive. My 920 was doing 4.2ghz stable, my 975 does 4.5ghz.. You tell me if that is worth an extra $900.......
I was expecting 5GHz + . Some 920 D0's will do that. A 975 is basically an unlocked 920 D0 and I was assuming it'd be the creme of the crop of 920's they picked to make into 975...but it is not. And it being unlocked has not helped the overclock much. I'd have been better off buying 3 different 920's on the chance that one of them will be a good overclocker. Also, I have given the 920 and 975 every opertunity to overclock well in the other gear I have chosen for it
i7 975: $1200
eVGA Classified: $400
Corsair Gominator GT DDR3 2000: $399
Cooling gear: @$1000
GTX285: $350
Other stuff: Who knows??
Getting your ass handed to you by some 14 year old on a $500 walmart machine: Priceless

SSD, SSD, SSD.
Multiboxers need to put more priority on their hard drive when running 5 clients.
