Hmm, my locks do pretty good dps, but not that good. Is that just a spike when heroism is on? or can you sustain that? I'm interested in how much you shortened the sequences by. I don't think im casting conflagerate often enough. I also made a change to the macro, I added a reset=combat/target to the immolate one, as I found that regular trash mobs die so fast, its in the middle of the sequence, and the macro stops because there isnt an immolate on the target. Also, i think i need to tweak my spec. I have one point different from the build Fur posted in the other thread, and i think its a waste, im torn between putting it into the AoE stun talent, or into reduced threat/increased range, as it is in the cookie cutter spec.

she will sustain around 3200-3300 dps, but her gear is bad, got couple upgrades yesterday, but still not too good

I can see why Niley does those number, but your other shaman are not any better geared than my best shaman and I use the exact same macro, I can never get 5500+ dps!! Do i spam my button too fast? I have tried slowing down my spam rate and it seems to not make any difference 8(

When I upgraded from P4 3ghz PCs to much newer Core2Duo 2.8ghz machines, with newer video cards I saw a significant increase in my DPS (3k --> 4k). Lag will kill your DPS.


I have a core i7 chip 12 gigs of ddr3 vista 64 ultimate..2xGforce 280gtx I can play any game out there at maxed settings with zero lag. But my servers latency is around 250 most the time. could that be it?

Maybe its the timing of your macros vs. your key spamming rate (KSR). how fast do you spam? i spam super fast hehe

have you tried pvping with your locks? I know that is something that you wanted to do I recall.

I would love to pvp on them if I had more time, my play time was cut even more, so basically i do few heroics and call it a day.j

what about this for the CoE, it last 5 min so unless it's dispelled or the fight last longer than 5 min this should work good.

That's what I do Cat. Only resets on combat or a new target. Works quite well.

I did have to adjust my conflag/chaos bolt though to reset only on combat/XX with xx being the cooldown. I did have it set for combat/target, but my macros would hang on trash when the targets switch fast and conflag/chaos bolt is still on cd.

Lock is my no 1 dps right now, seen her hit 8k few times(she sucks at trash). coe added right around 800 dps on average to my shamans.

Regarding CoE: This debuff is the same as a Moonkin's Earth and Moon debuff correct? and does not stack?

Secondly, damn. My lock is in bad gear and doesn't touch any of that. Grats.

Thirdly, do any of you add a Life Tap into you dps macro to regain mana without thinking about it and to utilize a Life Tap Glyphfor extra SP?

I don't run my destro lock much at the moment, I have life tap on a separate key and tap it before an encounter as the extra damage effect lasts for 40 secs (i think), if I remember I tap again.

I'm going to switch from CoA to CoE, initially i thought i was wasting GCDs recasting it, but the /casesequence CoE,Null will work perfectly.

I've noticed that my mage and shaman will do more dps on some of the shorter trash fights, but once my lock gets going, he stays pretty good. Fully buffed, with totem of wrath down, my lock is pushing 2600 spellpower. Ive seen 5k dps on the heroic dummy. I'd venture that CoE will be a pretty big boost, as on average CoA only does like 5% of the overall damage. My entire team pumps out a lot of damage, even my pally regularly breaks 2k, sometimes 2.5k. I've resorted to smiting with my priest for another 1-1.5k (all that spellpower lol)

Someone on irc asked me to post this.

I had to redo my slaves ui(its usually 960x600, maximized here so i can test the macros), and decided to re make the macros and re adjust them.

Gained good 700 dps over old result, and it was as high as 5900 when everything procced.

but here goes, you can see button placemet on the ui, i had regulr buttons above macros so i can see CDs and make sure that abilities are up when they supposed to be and to make sure that ones on Cd are casted next.

Chaos bolt before conflag, main reason for that is on first application of immolate you have to wait for immolate to actually hit the boss until you can cast conflag, bu putting chaos in between you never stop casting.

I just worked LifeTap into my rotation and I have noticed some improvement. I have it weaved in with my CoA macro so it taps about every 40 seconds.

coe is more important for me than coa, unless you have another source of coe type debuff, even if lock is the only caster he will do way more damage with coe than coa(unless you have moonkin or unholy dk of course).
I have life tap on separate button, but its easy to incude it into a macro(life tap before the pull, and its still up after boss is dead)

Now that race changes are available, its really really tempting. (don't like a gnome mixed in with a bunch of Dreanei and a Nelf... just looks funny)

you know you want to..... just powerboost it through dungeons with the rest of your team and you should be fine. i think at 75 you can do the lvl 80 dungeons. Solo quest inbetween to break it up, try AV for kicks. With shoulders and chest leveling aint too bad any more.

Before you guys go totally crazy over Niley's Warlocks DPS, keep in mind his gear is mostly a mix of 232/245 gear. :)

Great work on the macros, just like to point out that most of us probably won't be seeing number quiet that high. :D
