are the best shoulders that I can get, but they're so damn ugly I've decided to get the valor shoulders instead

Valorous Earthshatter Shoulderpads (60 valor) Valorous Earthshatter Shoulderpads

Anyone else facing similar decisions?

I know your pain! Though I don't actually have much choice. Mantle of the Extensive Mind is the best cloth shoulders I know of that my priest can get right now, without dropping down to the Valor ones. They don't go with anything! I've come to terms with my priest's appearance for now, but the moment I can get rid of these sorta bluey-with-random-green-stripes-sneezed-on-top shoulders, they're scheduled to become Abyss Crystals.

I think they go well with the set for Draenei Male, but on female its to much details on such small shoulders.

Funny thing is, i was thinking about this myself couple hours ago.

The solution on your problem is simply to wear the conquest ones when you are actually killing something,
and valorous when you are pimpin in the city. Its not like you arent gonna have 60 valor (read qonquest) emblems to spare soon enough.

Seriously, I wish Blizzard did the Aion thing and let us combine graphics from one piece of armor with stats from another piece for the same slot, provided we own both pieces in the first place.

And yes, it looks ridiculous on draenei females.

Ugh ... I remember my three female Blood Elf warlocks looking like prostitutes for four or five levels, just aching for that Netherweave Robe to cover their sexpot stockings. Now, I'm fine when strange women dress like harlots, but these are like, my virtual pretend not-really children!

The facemask does help unify it a bit, now that I've got the gloves to splash some more grey around. But the crashy greeny Christmassy shoulders absolutely need to go.

nah, iirc the glowing ass enchant is an ultra rare zone drop off of AQ40 i believe

Actually it's Mariel's Sorrow, the mace that drops in heroic ToC, with a +spi enchant ... but if I could trade it in for a good solid ass-glow, I wouldn't have to take a moment to consider.
