View Full Version : Keyclone issue

Like others I was forced to upgrade from v1.8, which worked very well with no issues, to v1.9. I have 5 computers and have a problem with v1.9 on 2 of the 5 computers.

While playing WoW, the 2 computers in question have a tendency to tab to Windows. This appears to be related to hitting the tab key in quick succession, as I do for example in PvP. Obviously this is very serious in PvP and is not an issue I had with v1.8. As there have been no other changes, I assume this is a v1.9 issue.

The 2 computers have Windows Vista.

Any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue?

do you have 5 different Keyclones codes for them?

do you have 5 different Keyclones codes for them?

I'd go out on a limb here and say yes since he successfully upgraded all 5 and has them working, just with an issue on 2 of the 5.

Mandatory Vista response : Are you running keyclone as administrator?

Thank you for your responses and comments. :)

To respond to the above:

Yes, I have 5 licences. Everything works fine except 2 of the slave computers dropping to Windows periodically.
I'm not running Keyclone as administrator, which I will try. While this may work it's perhaps not the problem as (i) the 2 slave computers which work fine do not have Keyclone run as administrator and (ii) I didn't have this issue with Keyclone v1.8.

If its Vista 9 times out of 10 running as administrator fixes everything. :) Let us know how it goes.

Running Keyclone as administrator does not, by itself, solve the issue. Two of my five computers still have a tendancy to tab to Windows.

The working solution I have so far is that, when this problem arises, I close Keyclone and launch again (as administrator) until Keyclone is stable. I may have to close and launch Keyclone several times for this to work.

I have never had this issue before and v1.8 worked perfectly so it's all very strange.

tab to windows? that's usually an indicator that you have a non-wow thing added to your keyclone, most likely a desktop icon.

try unchecking keyclone/setup/general/auto-add-windows-titled ... then restart your keyclone and start your wows are you using keyclone commands to start them? if not, you can add them manually using the 'add' button or you could create a command.

let me know if that helps.

On each of the 5 Keyclones (1 on each computer) I only have Keyclone and WoW running.

For each Keyclone under "general" I have "auto-add windows titled world of warcraft" (exact match enabled).

Disabling the "auto-add" and using the "add" button didn't help so I will try creating a command tomorrow.

From what I've seen so far there's an issue between Vista and v1.9 which did not exist with v1.8 for me.
