First post! :D

Been Dual-Boxing for about a year now, mainly to save the hassle of doing Daily's twice. My mains a T8.5 Paladin Tank, which can solo a lot of old world content, but have been dual boxing it to save time.

At First I was rolling Pally Tank + Hunter, but that got old pretty fast, so started to Dual Box Paladin DK which is great. The Pally's T8.5 and the DK T7.5 and together can clear Molten Core in about 2.5 hours.

But I want more.... the only thing holding me back is I don't have a healer with me. My Paladins a wrecking machine, but can only do so much without a healer. So, using my 3rd (long expired) account, I need to decide which toon to transfer to make my 3 man team.

I have a 72 Priest (Tier 5/6) and a 66 Druid (lol greens) and as such, have come up with several team makeups:

1.) Pally Tank, DPS DK, Resto Druid

2.) Pally Tank, Shadow Priest, Resto Druid

3.) Pally Tank, DPS DK, Holy Priest

4.) Pally Tank, DPS DK, Resto Shammy (Would require me to level a Shammy from scratch, not sure if I cbf)

I have no intention of trying Boomkin with the druid, simply due to their complex DPS rotations. DK DPS is insanely easy, I roll DW Frost and simply use a /castsequence macro, Shadow Priest shouldn't be too complex tho haven't explored it much.

So, any suggestions or advice? Biggest question is, If I have 2x melee and 1 Healer, whats the best way to organize positioning? I currently use the Arrow keys to position my DK, so guess I'd need to bind a 3rd set of movement keys to the healer?

there are a few melee multiboxer around as well as discussion about positioning and stuff. maybe you want to check them.

gear level (priest/druid) should not be a major factor since you will get similar/better gear by leveling the toon.

personally i would go for combo 1. why? hots works fine for old content and u do not need to care a lot ;)

Yea, been leaning that way. Also, from what I'm reading sounds like using click to move + interact with target will solve all my positioning issues for the DK, allowing me to use arrow keys for positioning of the healer.

I like to have the slaves as 'automated' as possible allowing me to focus on my main and the DK's castsequnces are so simple they work extremely well with the Paladins rotations.

Ok, now looking at 3 man Heroics. Yea 3 man may be a bit rough, but given the gear level on my Pally Tank I'm sure I can give them a decent go.

My Druid and Priest are 78 atm, so will soon be upgrading a 3rd Wrath account and need to sort out where to put each toon as I also have an 80 DK + Hunter which I'll rotate in and out of the groups.... 5 boxing would be nice, but I cant justify the transfer costs ontop of buying another 2 full accounts and 5 of them have epic flying so re-rolling on new accounts is out of the question.

So in terms of healing a Heroic, Resto Druid or Holy(Disc?) Priest? Which one is easier to automate (i.e. doesn't require separate hotkeys) without going oom every pull? More often than not, the druid and priest wont be running in the same team so I can slot in my DK and Hunter. Once the DK has tanking gear then I'll be able to put together a 2nd 3 man team.

Also, I don't suppose it's possible to have more than one toon in the party on the same account (i.e. one logged out in the instance) and then trade boss drops within the 2 hour window? Kinda hax I know, but would help gear them faster for a 2nd team.
