Hey guys. Just came across this site a few days ago, and boy is it awesome. All the stickies and guides are great.

I've been dual boxing on and off since the Kunark expansion, although back then it was just me alt-tabbing between two clients in a horribly inefficient and clunky setup :p

More recently I had been doing a Druid + Warrior in WoW for PvE at the behest of my mini-guild because of our lack of competent recruits.

Now that X-mas has come and gone, and my seasonal work as brought in the bling, I'm looking to get a new system. My current one will become the secondary box.

Present System (I get the feeling that there may be some bottlenecking going on here):
Athlon 64 2.2ghz
2gb DDR 433
Geforce 7950
XP Pro

The Newcomer from Newegg:
Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.5ghz
4gb Mushkin DDR2 800
eVGA 8800GTS
Vista 64-bit
(Total Cost: 1056$)

Now, I've been building computers here and there since the days when an AMD 450mhz was the cream of the crop, so I'm pretty fond of my tradition. But, if I go with the Newegg PC then I end up using a 17" CRT for my secondary box.

My question is; does anyone have experience with the Dell Inspiron 531? For 650$, you get an Athlon X2 5000+, 19" widescreen and Vista Premium. Upgrading the 531 to be on the level with the Computer would be 120$ for the 4gb of RAM, and 350$ for the 8800GTS. Is being able to have that 19" LCD for a little bit more than the Newegg computer worth having Dell brand components?

I know I don't need the 8800GTS for running one client, but I like my FPS and RTS games too :) This setup will be briefly used in WoW, but is aimed more at the beginnings of Team Squig when Warhammer comes out :D

Anyways, that's me! I look forward to multiboxing it up with all you folks.

Speaking as a big fan of AMD if I were buying now I'd go with intel... especially for multi-boxing. :(
