View Full Version : Tharon'ja macros?

Does anyone use macros for the Prophet Tharon'ja fight in Drak'tharon Keep? It's not a particularly difficult fight, but I'd rather be able to accomplish it by hitting a single macro duplicated on each toon, than mousing over to each client and clicking the "steal life" spell. Also, Macaroon doesn't like the possess bar on my tank for some reason, and I can't get it to show, so she currently doesn't contribute to the skeletonized parts of the fight. The trouble I'm having is, a macro like:
/targetexact Prophet Tharon'ja
/cast Steal Life (or whatever it's called; I'm at work right now -- I mean the big purple damage spell)
... isn't working. I've tried it with an /assist on the tank as well (just in case I was misspelling the boss's name or something), but no dice. Is there something special about this fight that requires a different macro setup? Thanks. :)

Have u tried just using a new interface and downloading isboxer. Ive been toying around with getting rid of macaroon cause of the problem your having plus the long periods of no updates, I went back to wow interface with isboxer and had no problem. Each character got the vehicle bar up and without having to cast target and a macro as long as my tank is targeting a mob or ne slave they all attack that target. Makes vehicle fights fun and easy now no more is it going to work this time.

One of the many reasons I don't use a bar mod.
I just smack my assist button and go to town.
ive never had to do anything but taunt once with my tank then spam #4 and #3 on my keyboard to win this fight

I just hit assist and then smash 1 3 4 over and over until it dies

Running 1xpally 4xshammies
I put stamima viii on the shammies + food that give 40stam giving them around 20000 stam, standard totem set down. However I think that much stam maybe overkill. I position the shammies at the top of the stairs and grab aggro with the pally then dps. When changed to skellies, the shammies don't do anything and I just click the pallys abilities for shadow bolt and taunt. With 20000 stam they can easily take the 10000 damage from the green gas. When turned back to normal pally grabs aggro and the shammies chain heal then dps, rinse and repeat till dead.

Your shammies can take a beating from this guy and if you all cast the life siphon the phases move more quickly. When you are in skelly form its pretty hard for thoronja to kill a shaman with a 4k shield and life siphon. Plus you can taunt him back on your tank. I just mouse broadcast and go to town. This is the boss of free loots.
I would say almost any 4shaman +tank group can take this guy out as long as you lay down 4 healing stream totems - they heal more than his ground DoT can do to you in a round.

This is my macro bound to numpad1
/tar focustarget
/click [bonusbar:5] BonusActionButton1
/click [nomod] MultiBarRightButton2
/stopmacro [nomod]
/click MultiBarRightButton3
/follow focus
/targetlasttarget [mod]
It will target the focus target then click the first spell on the posess/vehicle bar. The third line tells the current control toon to set itself as the master target and party leader in jamba..this is of course optional. The fouth line keeps the current leader from doing anything else in the macro. The forth line click the following macro and sets the current leader as the focus, this is done because you can't use targettarget when possesed or in a vehicle and it is my method of choice, for now it just works as a fancy focus leader setup. The follow is obvious, and i always put it on one because I have yet to find a vehicle with a channeled spell on the first spot. Targetlasttarget is useless here, I just left it because it doesn't hurt anything and I use it for another reason.
This macro focuses the current leader based on the FTL modifiers, yes i know it's not FTL but it's just a copy paste with focus instead of target. I also know I could use assist and save a macro spot but I have my own reasons for using targettarget that don't need to be discussed here.
/focus [mod:rctrl,mod:rshift,nomod:alt,target=Bettysue][mod:rctrl,mod:ralt,nomod:shift,target=Bobbiejoe][mod:ralt,mod:rshift,nomod:ctrl,target=Billiebobb][mod:rctrl,mod:ralt,mod:shift,target=Jimmyjaz][mod:rctrl,nomod:alt,nomod:shift,target=Gymbob]
The following is all thats needed for the other spell spots, just make 6 macros and you should have just about everything vehicle related covered.
/tar focustarget
/click [bonusbar:5] BonusActionButton2
Bind your macros to a key directly, using something like bindpad or the script command you can find posted elsewhere on this site. I used numpad keys for my setup, so now when I'm in a vehicle or possesed I simply it numpad1 the alts follow, and cast whatever spell is on the first spot of the bar. No need for crazy addons, or stam boosts or having alts stand around doing nothing...this will make this fight so trivial you'll check to make sure you had the heroic option checked. Good Luck.
Hope it helps,
Bettysue
