Just thinking out loud.....I love my Logitech G15 (ver 1). I love the extra keys. They are close so I can use them when in a hurry. But somethings I don't need quick. Leave BG/Accept macro. I can use that slowly. Drinking/eating? I can use that slowly. There probably are more, but I was thinking, I don't need those keys on my G-keys. I just need access to them. What if I could see what I was trying to activate. I try to keep most keys the same for each of my teams, but they move a little. What if I had a picture showing me what I was mashing? I thought of a touch screen. It lets me see. It lets me push and it can be out of the way. Does it sound like fun to have or just won't work like I want?

I didn't do much research, just looking for something small and not too expensive. This is 15" and $380. Not great, but again, I didn't try too hard. If people can buy a $300 Vetra, I should be able to get a $200 touch screen.
Any thoughts?

Boss has one of these, lightweight, installs easily, wouldn't be hard to make an application that let you skin a custom UI that sent keys to the right windows for trivial shit like you are suggesting.

Reading this mad eme think of something else, what about a harmony remote?

I have one (Logitech Harmony 1000) for tv / home cinema/ stereo. Very nice remote, easy to set up, excellent WAF.
I would not even know where to start if I would have to make it do the kind of thing the OP is suggesting, though.

My approach is to make a huge 22 button action bar (using Dominos) that has the same layout as my G13. I can then freely move icons/macros on this custom bar to fit my needs.

I use Bartender 4 over my UI, the one I have them over here is called Warcrafty, found on Curse.com. I use a Logitech G11 keyboard strictly for this game. Here's a picture of my setup using bartender. I have this same layout on all my toons so I know where to place spells and macros to match my main's to easily help me see what I'm pressing and won't forget.

Bars 1 and 2 have my main spells I use during battles. I replaced the - and = keys at the ends of each with Q, E, shift+Q and shift+E.

Bar 3 is my number pad on the right side of my keyboard.

Bar 4 has 6 of the M3 keys(G1-G6) and also the 6 keys above my arrow keys on my keyboard.

Bar 5, bottom left corner is under 10, Bar 10 is setup just like 4, half of it has M1 and M2 keys. It comprises of G7-G18 keys

Bar 6 has my F-Keys from 1-12. Those stay hidden on my main until I place the mouse cursor over it.

Bar 7 only has my arrow keys set to it. Arrow keys are movement keys for slave and don't phaze my main. The down arrow on main has a macro on it to stop Auto-Follow Strobing on Jamba. I have to tap that key a couple times to make sure it registers. These bars also stay hidden the same way as Bar 6. Slaves have this bar maximized on their window with certain spells and my hunter's ammo on it so I can just look up and keep an eye on their cooldowns and ammo. I have 4 accounts on one screen btw. I also use Keyclone's PiP 4 region horizontal layout if that helps. But I moved the slaves above my main instead of below.

Bar 8 is on the M3 button and are the G7-G18 keys.

Bar 9 is like Bar 5, but on the M1 button.

Bar 10 is G1-G6 twice, once for M1 and once for M2.

You can setup the keybindings any way you want, but as far as the layout goes, this is the best advice I can give for what you're looking for. It's free, since you have the G15 keyboard already, and totally customizable.

My M1 button stays on at all times and I switch to M2 and M3 when I need to so I don't end up using something I don't mean to hit, spells are pretty noticeable as to what I have there. But I still change these up from time to time. Hearthstones and /logout macro is on the bottom buttons on the M3 button, so yeah, don't want to hit those on accident in a fight ;\
