the 47" is fine if you want to play sitting 6 feet away but it does not give you the detail needed to play 5 toons. Others can comment on using a TV to play on.
I use 2 smaller monitors and they work out well, big enough to see what happens on the alts, and small enough to sit on the desk.

I used one 24" widescreen monitor, and one 19" widescreen monitor. Works out well for me. I tried using my 32" WS LCD TV as well and found that the TV couldn't produce a sufficiant picture quality.

I would suggest spending a little bit of money on a second monitor. They're relatively inexpensive now-a-days.

I found out that I liked Dell's. I got 19s in the past and wanted to upgrade. I LOVE the 24's. I only will get the ultasharps. In my opinion you get what you pay for. Yeah, they are 600 (at the time), but I have never had any issues with them and I think of them as a visual investment. I hope they make a 27-30 LED, and that will be my new one. I like the more room so I can have addons and just see the pretty scenery go by.

I'll second both of these responses. I tried one and five toons on a 42" 1080p LCD and got the results they described. I tried connecting via PC input and again with HDMI.

I've tried it on my 60" TV and the PQ is great, depends on the TV though. One thing to remember though is the response time for most TV's is a higher than those 2ms monitors. I play using a 24" Dell and a 23" Acer. Lead is on the dell and the remaining clients are on the Acer.

Hi Zolx

I thought i would chime in here. It really depends on your 47" LCD tv. If its a 1080P, you shouldnt have any problems with displaying up to 4 windows on it. the Resolution for a 1080P monitor is 1920x1080. I'm currently using a Sony 46" 1080p monitor in conjuction with a 20" Dell. My main toon is on the LCD TV while my other 4 toons are on the dell. The LCD TV is only about 4 feet away and im not having any major issues with how close i am. hope this helps.
