View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Key modifiers not working
Hi,
there's a problem with Innerspace/ISBoxer on my computer:
I can only use hotkeys or key combinations that don't use any modifiers (ctrl, shift, alt etc.).
As soon as any key modifier is involved, nothing happens.
Also, I can't type the '@' when running WoW within Innerspace.
BTW, I'm running a german version of windows.
Any suggestions?
Well, there's a lot Germans using ISBoxer, but I can't say I've had any complain about keys not working.
There was a guy complaining about modifiers not working for him, and other strange behavior, and he said that resetting his WTF folder (in the WoW folder) fixed it. You could try renaming your WTF folder to see if that has any effect.
I've tried that now, but it didn't change anything.

Lax,
I noticed something similar when I was testing out DAOC with IS. I hadn't gotten a chance to run it down fully, but this is what I was seeing specifically:
I had an key defined to send "CTRL+SHIFT+#" to all others, where the # varied from 1 to 4 for 4 different actions. I then set each of these up as a key action to be performed when I changed focus to a character's window (CTRL+SHIFT+1 for character 1, CTRL+SHIFT+2 for character 2., etc.) This, in DAOC, is supposed to change the quickbar displayed. Instead, I noted that as I switched characters, my other characters were trying to cast (activate items in the qucikbar). When I looked into it a bit more, I noted that when I'd shift to another IS session, the other sessions were all receiving a double-press of whatever the # was (with no CTRL or SHIFT modifiers).
I chalked it up to being a DAOC/directinput7 issue, and figured it'd be a bug report to give you when I had a bit more time to do more testing. The OP's issue seems like it may be related, so I wanted to include my report here also, for you.
