I am trying to cast 2 spells on character1 and 2 spells on character2. I have tried it a few diferent wats and unable to accomplish my task.
None of these work
/castsequence [target=apalloo] mark of the wild, thorns
/castsequence [target=player] mark of the wild, thorns
/cleartarget
/castsequence reset=30 mark of the wild, [target=havaox] mark of the wild,,
/castsequence reset=30 mark of the wild, [target=paquain] mark of the wild, [target=apalloo] mark of the wild,

1. Keep thorns on the tank.
2. Use gift of the wild.
solves all problems. =]
but really. only use thorns on tank. you dont need your other party members gaining more aggro than they need to.
well unless you're doing pvp.
simple..
/castsequence [target=party1] thorns, , , , ,mark of the wild, , , ,
/castsequence [target=party2] , thorns, , , , , mark of the wild, , ,
/castsequence [target=party3] , , thorns, , , , , mark of the wild, ,
etc.
(please note that there is one extra comma between thorns and mark of the wild. just because you dont want to overlap the last Thorns spell with the first MotW spell. i think. but play with it. not sure if the syntax has changed since i last did this a very very long time ago. )

Smartbuff! Save a macro.
agreed....saves on macros, trouble, and time. setup is easy, ram usage is light, and you can set which spells/classes you want to cast/cast on when mashing this button. make one simple macro and set to the same button on all toons and mash away when you see the notifications pop up on screen when a buff needs to be reapplied. it can be setup to recast while either in or out of combat only, or both. helps to keep it so you can recast while in combat if your toons get some spells taken away while fighting.
macro for it is /click SmartBuff_KeyButton
when I started out, I kept tryin to make macros for just about every spell and buff to target every party member. big hassle. with this, it made it so much easier and playin more enjoyable. I still have buffs set to specific keys tho, so all I have to do is target other players outside my party with my main, hit assist to get slave to target them, then hit the specified buff key and they all cast buffs on them.

thank you all for the help. on other forums all you get is flamed and called an idiot. the help was excellent and well thought out, smart buff is an excellent choice but i went with :
/castsequence [mod:Alt, target=toon2] Mark of the Wild, Thorns
/castsequence [target=toon1] Mark of the Wild, Thorns
this is exactly what i was looking for.
Again thank you all for the help

I use several addons, but always think of Fur's stance.
When the addon breaks, you're out of luck.
It might be updated in a day or five.
It might be broken for good.
The fewer addons we rely upon the better.

True addons break and the reliance on them do have a downside but I think the same can be said of any of the programs we rely on to box. There are a few addons and programs that are just so convenient and easy to use that it is worth the investment. Smartbuff to me is one of those. It allows you configuration options that certainly a macro can do but not as easily or transparently.

Also this is the macro you were looking for
/castsequence [target=apalloo] mark of the wild, thorns ,,,,
/castsequence [target=player] mark of the wild, thorns
The extra ,,, in the first line allow it to drop to the next line. You don't need the cleartarget because you are targeting by name in your macro so it wont change from your current target. If you like to smash your buttons like I do more comma's may be needed.. but if you press it and watch the cooldowns it would only require 2 comma's.
However I prefer the one that was posted by Zal which you are using now with the mod. It's a little more controlled. Smartbuff is also recommended.
