Anyone else feel like hammering their heads into walls when reading the forums with all these 12 year old kids coming on these day? Or is it just me? I'm almost tempted to just step back from the forums for a while and just work on the zerg site.

It is rather frustrating, but it's something we have to deal with. Unfortunately the majority of the people that have been asking the same questions over and over don't even multibox for long nor stay part of the community.

I still think there should be a way to make them look at the stickies... Like only have stickies available to them for the first 2 days, than after that they can post, or something to that effect. It might cut down on the massive amounts of "OMG keyclone is broken!!@!one!!E" posts that we've been getting.

The stickies lack organization and consequently are a bit overwhelming. Equivalently, we do a poor job because almost always someone is helpful enough to re-answer questions that are in sticky's.

Maybe we need to start being a little meaner and just reply with "read the stickies"

It's something that is being worked on, the forums will be switching to a new format that is much easier to read. With that also a wiki will be made so we can consolidate all the wealth of information.
I appreciate your patience all, and thanks for answering duplicate questions.

being relatively new to this site and DB'ing i found the stickies very helpful for getting a basic set-up. i think some people ignore em.
and as far as keyclone, i thought he should have set up a 5 hour trial period or something to that degree originally when i downloaded it i thought i wasn't working my self, i later realized my program wasn't activated payed 10 bucks and was ready to go

also although it's obnoxious for the old members the amount of effort and help that people put into responding to simple questions is astounding on this site, should ya'll choose to start saying "read the stickys" i think you'd ruin a great community that you have atm. unlike the wow forums which is about as suppotive as...i got nothing, wow forums are worse

but thats just the two cents from a guy who's still kinda new here should it help this discussion.

Personally I've been at my wits end with the newb's for quite some time. My pet project is going to be fleshing out the Wiki as best I can.

I'm not expecting it to eliminate all the newbs, because as is quite plainly obvious from some of the posts, some of them are totally beyond help. I guess once we've got a wiki up I won't feel like I'm wasting my time.

I completely agree with you seth, kids today are so lazy it amazes me. They want everything laid at their feet in a nice neat pile. Yeah, there is a lot of information to sift though, but I can't say i have had that hard of a time finding what i need. Instead of actually taking 10 minuets looking for an answer they just make a new post and hope somebody answers. Seriously, how many times can people ask about how to make formations or what classes they sould play? I found 5 posts asking about different classes on the first page of the general forums alone. I don't really know if there is anything that can be done about it other than forcing them to look at stickys first, I'm afraid that it's just going to be a nuisance we’re going to have to put up with.
