On sunday i decided to take my DK to naxx 25, for a pug i got a really good group. I was MT for all bosses except Grobb cos i hate Grobb! My tanking was perfect, the raid leader was great, no one moaned about anything. I managed to get a new chest, legs, sigil and trinket. The best bit was the guy who won armageddon .. passed it to me! it made my day. So now i have a spot each week in naxx 25 as the raid leader was well impressed. Works out his misses is a tank too so he is cool about the idea of female tanks lol!

yesterday after running my mage friend around a few instances with my mb team (had to kick the hunter as she is messed up at the mo) he asked if i wanted to make a group and do some hcs with him so i said yes sure as i had such a good time i naxx i thought i would give it a go playing solo in some hcs. First we went to TOC it went fine no problems. Then someone dc'ed so we had to find another dps and then went to AN. I had a whisper say there were 3 girls in the group, witch i thought was kinda cool as i have not been in a group before where i know there are other girls playing. First encounter went well..then it started. I sat there for about 20 mins of bitching in party chat over who was going shadow and who was going to heal. so then i said "you must be the other 2 girls then huh" i got the answer "we are priests so we must be girls". The bitching kept going and was doing my head in so i said "so can't you just sort it and play you are giving us a bad name going on like this" that was just totally the wrong thing to say as then i got ..well she started it, no she started it. so my last comment was "this is why i multibox" and i left the group and went back to my guys who never bitch and moan they just do what they are told!

good story and totally the reason I multi-box as well. Every group I get into lately we have one person that just "has" to go and it's usually right in the middle of the instance or immediately after we get a full group formed.

Then you have the "other" people. The ones who always request a dps counter (because we all know just how HARD it is to install that addon). The ones who afk 5 times before a boss to do god knows what, and the people in greens pulling 300 dps and wondering why it takes so long to kill stuff.

I haven't gotten my team to 70 yet, but I'm playing a "temporary" dk tank until 70 at which point my 4 shaman will be running with my 80 epicced out tank. The level of stress and finding good people to group with has virtually disappeared and that is really why I pay the extra money for the accounts, etc.

I'd rather consistently have fun, then consistently have none.

It's kind of refreshing to see a woman say "they were acting like such... such women!!!"

It's not just women that do it in game, but they for sure throw more fits about specs than guys in my experience.

Yeh I had a reminder the other week why I multibox. I did my first pug group since pre tbc (thats how long I was scarred from it the last time!) I went to naxx 25 with just 1 character. Being a bit rusty about my solo play and the new tactics (if you can even call them that anymore) for naxx bosses I decided to just use my dps macro that I use whilst boxing. I was 1k dps ahead of the next best dps'ers and most people where around the 1200 mark.

Everyone moaned at the healers every time we wiped even though the tanks where chain pulling packs of mobs when healers where oom. and dps was as I said extremely low. It completely destroyed my faith in humanity once again. I expect to try my next pug sometime around 2012.

I multibox so I can ditch a heroic to do Wintergrasp and come back to it and nobody is miffed.

This is why I don't like to tell people I'm a female gamer. It's also why I've always been a tomboy. I never want to be associated with crap like that.

I do it so I can AFK 5 times before a boss pull and no one complains :)

Heh. Remember what it was like before dual-spec and before the merger of +dmg and +heal into +spellpower? :P

Only people in my guild and friends know i am female, its easyier that way.

Well your not the only one that has run into something like that, I decided I was going to try and PUG ToC regular to boot, and I said at the beginning of the run that this was my first time in there, we had this lock that just bitched me out because I was not doing that great of a job tanking the mobs. Really pissed me off, I mean even after watching the videos once or twice I was still a bit unsure what to do, one of those things where you have to experience it once to know what is going on. What can I say we wiped twice, and the stupid lock died cause the boss went right for him which was fine with me since the lock was bitching, instead of complaining try to help out the person that is doing something wrong come on its not that hard!

sigh.. yep.. been there. Once in a while I go solo for a quick run .. yesterday in middle of VH someone said ..'have to take care of something... be a few mintues..'... !??

More often than not there's always 'some' issues with somebody. Though once in a while you got an awesome group where everyone knows their stuff and things just flow. Had one yesterday.. an all melee group of all things..

This. :) I have a pregnant wife and a one year old son - when he is trying to climb up into my lap to try and play WoW too and mash the keyboard or eat the mouse - I need to take some AFK's. :)

Another part of me likes it because I know at the end of the day I am improving my main character (my Paladin Tank) by multiboxing - I dont feel guilty I am playing alts because he is part of the team. I dunno seems wierd but I really hate having alts.

i don't refer to mine as alts, they are on different accounts so to me they are all my "main" or mains!

My experience is that women get into it faster, but once men get started they are the real pros!

I wonder if the problem was age rather than sex though?

I like the boxing, because... you can blow things up easily, which others need a group for.
The challenge of tweaking macro's so they do what you want...
The ability to have a group now, at any time of the day or night, and not need to find a tank or healer etc...
The option to ditch an instance for any reason, without offending anyone...
Not having a rogue take the uber hunter bow or the hunter taking the uber rogue fist weapon, because they can...

I detest the collection quests, but they balance out with things like /use item, and having five completes at once.
Some fights are really hard, when you're playing everyone.
Other fights are simplistic with the coordination.

Yup 30 is old! Hence I have already decided to get a small strip of land to get buried in, already did my Will and all that good stuff, I have one foot in the grave what can I say, next year I could be dead! But until then I will box!

30 is young :-)

Old is your age + 8-15 years

(ie when you were 10, 18 sounded like "old", when 20, it was 30, etc...)

That way you never get old

Haha funny stories. I agree pugs can suck, but sometimes when my team is getting own2d in those movement intense encounter I wish they would move around well like a real group. Going afk none stop with no whinning is def a perk. :)
