I have a level 80 pally, 3 elem shaman, 1 resto shaman team and a new mixed class team (pally, balance druid, elem shaman, hunter, priest) at level 29. I've always thought a 5 man druid team would be fun because of their flexibility, stealth, and flight form. I'm considering making a new team (feral, 3 balance, and 1 resto) to alternate leveling between my mixed class team on rest bonus.
How have you guys liked your druid team compared to other teams you have played? Would you recommend that group setup or did you run into issues with it?
Thanks for your feedback.

I RAF'd... Balance Druids, Beast Hunters, Disc Priest and Elem Shammies to 60th.
I opted to go with 5 shammies for my first team, but dropped one for a pally at 72nd.
Recently, I'm attempting to go with my 70+ single box toons, but as a 5-box team.
This is Feral Druid, Demo Warlock, Marksman Hunter, Elemental Shaman (from 1st team) and Disc Priest.
The team isn't as fun as Disc Priests or Balance Druids, but they're all 70+ with Epic Flyers.
I'm really enjoying the gold from the Daily stacking.
75, 74, 73, 70 and 70.. is a lot closer to 80, then either of my 60's teams.
For druids, I'd definitely level them 5x Balance.
I'd strongly consider dual spec on two of them, one to Feral and one to Resto.
Then you have the option of heroics or tougher quests.
Balance x5 is really fun. Mass Treants, Hurricane, Rejuv/Regrowth/Lifebloom x5 is immunity to damage basically, 5x Wrath drops almost anything in two volleys, 1x Starfire does the same. Starfall x5 will be sick. Moonfire and Insect Swarm is 10 quick dots.
Every toon is either Moonkin, Tree or Bear, for massive armor in PvP's.
You'll have a weakness to Fear Bombs, but destroy almost anything you detect.
With cat and stealth, you can do stealth instance runs or have an edge in pvp.
Gathering herbs or ore does not require you to drop Flight Form (or didn't in BC anyway).
The druids are a ton of fun, but so are the disc priests.
Pretty sure I'll level both groups to 80; they're too fun not to.

I have a 5 x Druid team at 80, decently geared (hateful / deadly / WG epix)...and they are definitely a lot of fun to play.

For PvP they are defintely viable but I would place them well behind shamans in terms of effectiveness. For PvE they are pretty solid - I have my main dual spec'd feral and two alts dual spec resto.
Pro's:
1. Stealth - great for getting the drop in pvp, or sneaking around mobs in pve.
2. Instant forms - very convenient, especially flight form
3. Great AoE - Hurricane does awesome damage x 5, especially when backed up with Starfall.
4. Good CC - Entagling Roots & Cyclone are pretty good.
Cons:
1. Have to drop form to heal - makes you very vulnerable to melee classes (leather not much better than cloth really).
2. No real mitigation for spell damage - although you get resistances with MotW, there's not much else. You can barkskin for a temporary solution.
3. Vulnerable to melee zerg - outside of Typhoon, no spells / abilities with pushback. Changing to travel form and running is usually too slow.
4. Vulnerable to fear - one trinket and thats it.
My druids are currently my "no. 2" team behind my Shams. They are good to swtich to for BG's & WG when I feel like a change of pace - they are a very mobile team as opposed to the Shams "stand and nuke" style, and are actually my preferred team for dailies (mainly due to instant flight form). Worthwhile levelling IMO.
Cheers,
S.

Great replies guys. I will only be using them for PVE so the PVP issues won't be an issue for me. This definately gives me some good ideas on what to expect out of them. Thanks!

My gear is still pretty crappy, but with every new piece I can feel their power grow (mainly because it's more like 5 new pieces).
Fears kill me pretty easily, and with 5x moonkins and shitty gear my guys can be bursted down before I can get a heal off, but I have started to feel my survivability increase and started to see my targets drop. Shamans have so great of defense that they're definitely stronger in PvP, but druids are fun. If I can get someone healing me in BG then I can take over any node with ease if my treants and starfall are up. All it takes is one healer and even with my shitty gear you can overpower anything with that army.
