hey guys, from a previous post i asked about aditonal keys and was advised to invest in a N52, well guess what i got for chirstmas :D

so anyway, im haveing alot of problems working out how you make custom buttons, i see it has a macro option but didnt want to play about with this too much as i didnt know what it would tell the game to do. Also wasnt sure if that was legal or not.

So i took the slackers way out and just put in buttons i cant very well reach when normally playing, i still use my keyboard in 90% of senarios to nuke things down, but if an event requires tanking and healing i swap over to the n52. With Bongos as my bar changer on UI i just key made a seperate bunch of buttons controlled by the keys on the n52

i am enjoying it, i just wish that the directional pad was more like a thumbstick on a xbox pad, talking of which also set up my xbox controller to play wow, it sucked i dont recomend it.

so was wondering if anyone could give he some tips or advice how to make the most of this product, looks great on my desk i cant have multiple screens due to a lack of space, also why i play on a laptop but the n52 gives you the same 'im serious gamer' look :p can conferm this by my sisters comment 'oh my god your as bad as ben is' he has 3 screens hooked up for his job.

Btw im sure i saw someone had 2 n52s i think it was Ellays deskscreen shot way back when you were doing the mages and i remember seeing 2 n52's might be wrong, just wondering if you can plug in more than one or would they conflict each other.

I use an n52 for all my games, well apart from those that are mouse driven like EVE, I tend to use a standard FPS layout.

WASD (3,7,8,9) as the main movement keys; 1 & 2 for targeting; 6 is shift; 11 is control; 12 is alt; 13 is x (down in flight/swimming). My button bars (I use trinity) are the thumb-pad (1-4); big thumb button 5; Orange Button is 6; then the remainder 7-10 are buttons 4,5,10,14. I also have delete mapped to the button under the scroll wheel.

I don't use any other shift states, and I still have access to forty buttons with one hand. In fact even on my seventy I only use about 20-30 buttons.

While I have two n52s I have never managed to get both working together on the same machine (I have used an n50 and an n52 together), but when I used two machines I used both and my follower's n52 was setup so I had a control set, plus when I used a shift state to move all the button keys onto the main pad (buttons 1-10) with ctrl and alt mapped to 11 and 12, again giving good control... Now I just us one PC and keyclone which works 100% better. :)
