Planning to get a 80 GB SSD from Intel - Part number: SSDSA2MH080G1C1 (http://alina.se/Produkt.aspx?r=pl&T2=SSDSA2MH080G1C1)

Anyone know anything about it? It's a decent price at my dealer :P

If I where you, I would wait for the next generation drives (G2) from Intel, anandtech has tested them and they seem to beat the current generation in desktop performance and be cheaper :)

My dealer have it listed, but as slightly more expensive - so not sure it's worth the wait (god knows when it comes to Sweden)

I have 2 of the original x25s that you linked. I have them striped and use them as my OS drive as well as for WoW. Have had absolutely no problems at all with the setup, great load times on WoW, texture loads are good. Still struggle running 5 toons around Dal however (generally 15-25fps) but I don't think the drive is the problem here.

Anyway, I would stronly recommend them over any other SSD other than the new Intel ones when they become available, although I am not sure you will see a huge difference anyway.

Cheers

I have an Intel SSD that I put my games on. it's incredibly fast but you really don't want to use it for your main drive or any drive that your page file might be one. I found that with my motherboard and setup that if I used it for the O/S that once in a while it would lock up for several seconds ( pagefile on it). As a secondary drive that I install all of my games to it never locks up and runs great.

I tried all combinations of it, as an O/S drive, as just a pagefile + games drive, just a games drive. I know my games load faster but I couldn't really tell you how much faster... I 5x box and all of the games start with roughly the keyclone delay.
