ugh, what reason is there to multibox?

i started 5-boxing so i could do instances whenever i wanted

but with the "Additional instances cannot be launched" issue, i can't even do that

the only other thing left to do is to farm dailies... but that always get boring fast

anyone have any ideas?

Either keep trying to get in for a few minutes, play when less people are playing, or do something else. Start raiding, do one of the many forms of pvp, or do quests. Take a break until the 3.2 hype comes down if there's nothing else you want to do in wow and the instance servers are really bothering you.

I actually saw one of those message when i was about to do an instance, my tank friend spazzed out so i got to laugh. Now he runs to every instance to "reserve" our spot.

I don't think its a population issue. I experience this error a lot in a low population realm but never in a 35k population realm. Hope they'll fix it asap

This does suck. On Magtheridon I tried yesterday for about 45 minutes straight to get into UK with no luck. I just decided I will do my instances in the morning and dailies at night.

I spent 30 minutes, back.. auto run... back auto run.... back auto run.... back, auto run. It's a damn nightmare..

Not to mention if you have alliance in the area, they just love to screw with me. Being stuck on a instance door on a pvp server = FML.

As far as I'm aware it is not connected to your particular server population. Behind the scenes, the instance server farm is probably statically allocated to groups of realms, then dynamically load balanced within individual groups. Whether or not these groupings coincide with pvp battlegroups is unclear.

Man, that stinks. I get the message sometimes during peak hours, but I just keep retrying to enter the instance, and after a couple minutes I can get it. How long have you had to wait before it lets you in?

When im multiboxing i see that the first time i try to enter an instance, but i just back up and run back in and its normal. Ive never had anything like that where it prevented me from joing for a period of time. I just thought it was a little bug that happens b/c i got 5 accounts from the same connection entering an instance at the same time. Dunno how something like this makes you question why multibox.

Move servers or pvp. I don't do instances much, but even when I do I am affected by the "cannot spawn instances" garbage" quite a bit. I think newer servers with lower population have less of a problem.

nathrezim isn't very crowded anymore but I think the hardware is just old.

They need to do something about it and soon, yes everyone's saying this, and even blizzard has admitted this. My concern is, how many screen shots of repeated "Additional Instances cannot be launched" = 1 free day of play time? I'm usually the LAST one to bitch about getting free time etc, but last night when I was trying to finish out my Stormwind rep I needed to hit stocks for a couple quests, I spent 45 minutes trying to get in before saying screw it and running off to find some quests I missed. It's crazy that the instance servers are so full you can't even get into stocks.

How the hell are solo people leveling these days? Before I started multiboxing instancing during prime time was a staple of your leveling method. No wonder people haven't l2p their class before level 80 since they CAN'T GET INTO A FRIGGIN INSTANCE until they hit Northend, and even then it's spotty.

I realize this varies drastically from server to server, but last night I was actually considering transferring OFF my server. Why the hell should I pay my monthly fees and not be able to play the game in the manner I want to? Then have to pay $125 (at least) to move my team and HOPE I'm going to a better server?! I know shit happens and servers get full and ques and instances fill up, but still, I'm not doing anything that anyone else isn't already doing. The more i thought about it, the more angry I got at Blizzard. How can such a basic feature of this huge game be completely locked out? Sure I could have gone and done my dailies, oh wait, I couldn't because I had already done 25 that day. Oh, but I could have gone and PvP'd, oh wait. 1.5 hour AV que time. BUT WINTERGRASP! oh...I qued and half my team got in, half are sitting in Dalaran going "wtf mate".

So GG Blizzard, you've fucked up a bread and butter piece of your business. If it truly is a server balance issue, lets get some free transfers going. If it's some other issue, lets see about getting more servers for cross realm instances, or just more instance servers.

It is server related. My server (Shadowsong)'s battlegroup underwent a major surgery a month or so back. They even screwed that up badly and the realms in my BG (Reckoning I think, US) were down or very unplayable for nearly 2 days.

Once they finally got it all sorted out, I haven't seen a single "additional instance" message. So considering how much RAF boosting I've been doing, let's just say I was very happy :)

All weekend on Madoran I had that issue, others were obviously able to do instances elsewhere (guild people clearing instances and doing bgs), I couldnt get my lowbie guys into Gnomer, Stocks, or SFK. I just logged my guys minus one off the server and did some battle grounds and kept trying Gnomer with no luck.

Can you imagine spamming LFG and getting a group only to find it won't let you zone in? Haha

Yup see it happen it all the time, but it is not really related to 3.2 launch this has been happening for quite a while, it was present in 3.1 and maybe even 3.0. It seems it was something to do with there actual hardware, there servers where getting hammered in the instances and would just not allow players to get in, could of sworn they where fixing this, at least some of the blue post hinted at that.

My druid team is sitting at 47 and my raf is just wasting away. I can't get in at all during the day or evening. Raf expires today so basically I'm screwed on the druid team. I had it planned perfectly to reach 60 before my raf expired but didn't count on not being able to boost them.
Bliz needs to fix this asap and until they get a real fix they need to put a que on the instance servers. It shouldn't be to hard for them to at least add the que.

Also I'm about 90% sure they prioritize higher lvl instances and leave new players and alts sitting with no instances. I've tested this by sitting my toons in various instances and trying to zone them in. Only ones that ever get in are the northrend instances.

You should have quested them, wouldn't have been as fast, but wasting RAF ftl. I think you're correct about prioritizing Northrend instances, I've seen pretty much the same.

Raids are instanced too... my guild had this same issue one day for Ulduar 25.

I've had it quite a lot, any time I try to instance during prime time.

I've recently decided to level my odd toons still around 70th, via multibox.
Druid, Priest, Shaman, Warlock and Hunter.
The initial plan was Feral + Discipline with 3 DPS.
And to instance as much as possible; I absolutely detested 70-80 questing.
Unfortunately, I'm getting instances cannot be launched a ton.
