I was just about to make the swap from bartender to macaroon (for multiple key bind profiles), but noticed it hasn't been updated since May (on wowinterface) - Is it working with the patch?

Seems to be working fine for me. Unlike the updated DBM.

There are only two problems with it that are just irritating. If you mouse over the spell book you get an error message. And on my Paladins when you open the second page of the talent tree in retribution you get an error. Other than that works fine.

I started to use Macaroon in order to get past the 255 character limit on macros.
The 3.0 patch was horrible - although it is a very nice mod it is not kept up to date properly. The 3.0 patch was fixed by hacking into the code until someone posted a 'fan's update' and finally a few weeks later an official one. This patch (3.2) there is silence once again. Based on this I would warn people away from this mod. No matter how good it is when it is working, you are at the mercy of fan updates at major patches.
I intend to look for another bar mod which is much simpler, in the hope that it is easier for the developer to keep on top of updating it.
At the same time, I am about to try out this mod to see if it gets me past the 255 limit more easily than stacking multiple /click macros and using up buttons.

Can anyone recommend alternatives? (bars or macro limit)
I am starting to strongly prefer mods that only try to do one thing. They don't get broken so easily, and easier for the author to keep on top of. I haven't looked, but maybe there is a mod specifically for keybindings and nothing else. If so that may be a better way to go.
Ugh.. <braces for a macro laden weekend> :o
Macaroon is still working fine for me, the only thing missing is no support for the new Shaman 'all totems at once' functionality but I can live without that for a while.
Hope the author hasn't gone AWOL again... it's too good an addon to be without!

How about this one. It works fine for me as well cept for the problem of wow not responding bs. I uninstalled wow reinstalled it all and added addons one at a time. Then disabled them after a short while to see what was going on. When i got to macaroon it will cause a wow not responding error when zoning in time to time and go blank and i have to sit there and wait. Is there something else that might be causeing this problem with macaroon. I mean i love this mod and i dont think i would be able to get used to another one but i might have to if this keeps happening. Any help is greatly thanked. Trying to fix the stupid does not respond bs and hoping author decides to update macaroon since i do run 5 shammies in 70 pvp bracket for now would love the one button totem drop.

IMO Macaroon is the best bar mod out there but I stopped using it a long time ago as Maul tends to go Awol for a while leaving the mod unsupported. This is fine as I am sure he has a life outside of addons and wow but I try to not be so reliant on addons anymore. For reference I use superdupa macro to extend macro length and bt4

Thanks for the tip.
Could you give me a link for Superdupa Macro? I couldn't find it on Curse or Wow Interface, and Google gave only 2 results (both false leads). I even tried a few alternate speelings too..
