SEE BOTTOM FOR UPDATES

So this is what I have to spam for dps currently, I'm 70 on the shamans and 80 on the pally so i don't have lava burst yet

Shaman 4x:
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=5 Lightning Bolt, Flame Shock, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Flame Shock, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt/cast Elemental Mastery
/use 13
/use 14
It works perfectly for what I need it for.

Paladin 1x:
/cast Avenger's Shield,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=5 ,, Consecration, Judgement of Wisdom, Shield of Righteousness, Hammer of the Righteous
2 problems:

It doesn't cast Avenger's Shield on the pull or when the CD is up even
It casts Consecration if they're ranged, which is just a waste of mana.

Any way to fix those issues? anyone have better macros?

I have a separate key for avenger shield. I guess this should solve both your problems.

Hi

i tried the /click-method for my Pally-Macro. It now consists of 4 macro and DPS/TPS is really awesome.

U should change your Macro to an 969 CD change - this means
9 Sec CD - Judgement, Consecration, Holy Shield
6 Sec CD - Hammer of Righteous, Shield of Rightousness

This should look like
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=5 Holy Shield, Hammer of the Righteous,Judgement of Wisdom, Shield of Righteousness, Consecration, Hammer of the Righteous,Holy Shield, Shield of Righteousness, Judgement of Wisdom, Hammer of the Righteous,Consecration, Shield of Righteousness

Now you should have a very good rotation for thread-management. give it a try

ok so its not just me.

rulemaker I wasn't using holy shield due to the mobs being 10 levels below me and me blocking everything anyways.

But I'll give it a try :D

dont forget startattack

not sure at all whats going with the paladin macro, i think your trying to do this. However your focus targeting is somewhat flawed and needs more logic.

/cast [target=focus, exists, harm] spell; spell or a raw /target line perhaps

IMHO your better off with a /castrandom versus a castsequence if your going totally mindless buttonmashing tanking as the perfect rotation makes sense only with various talents (and level) and against a single target. So your going to need a 'reset=combat/target'. If your tanking trash button mash mindlessly.

/startattack [harm]
/cast [nocombat][harm] Avenger's Shield
/castsequence [combat] reset=target/combat Holy Shield, Hammer of the Righteous, Judgement of Wisdom, Shield of Righteousness, Consecration

Now what do you use for early level macros? Same thing? I know with my pally at level 6 does not even have time to get a hit out before the shamans killed the target.

I used /click on my pally for ages but decided to try this one night:

/castsequence reset=5 Holy Shield,Hammer of the Righteous,Judgement of Light, shield of righteousness,Consecration,Hammer of the Righteous,Holy Shield, shield of righteousness,Judgement of Light,Hammer of the Righteous,Consecration,Shield of RighteousnessI've never looked back, with a constant tapping speed this = win.

My AS macro is just:

#showtooltip avenger's shield
/castsequence reset=10 divine plea, avenger's shieldI don't put that into my tanking rotation, with the 9696 above you shouldn't need it. Also I use Hand of Reckoning to pull sometimes as well, but just click it.

Combined with this for my shammies:

#showtooltip lightning bolt
/assist focus
/click MultiBarBottomLeftButton8
/cast elemental mastery
/cast blood furyWhere MultiBarBottomLeftButton8 is:

/assist focus
/cast Lightning Bolt; Lightning Bolt
/cast ThunderstormI've found that just spamming LB gets me more DPS than throwing FS/LVB into the mix. I also kept my /click sequence where it does the FS on a castsequence and the LvB on the next then spames the LB above but I'm using it less and less and for me there's a good 300dps drop which I guess could be latency issues due to castsequence lag so LB spam FTW.

The added side benefit of LB spam is that it gives the pally time to build aggro as the shammies aren't instacasting LvB, instances have been much smoother since using this.

I too am using a 96969 macro for my Pally.
Since it is a cast sequence, it will not advance past an ability until that ability executes.
So it doesn't matter how quickly or slowly I spam my "big button" for the shammy cast sequences.
Each spell in the 96969 is an instant cast with a 1.50 GCD.
My pally is actually using a click castsequence.
But the first macro only says... /stopmacro [mod] and after that /startattack, and then click the button my 96969 is on.

My shammies are using a click castsquence on the same keybind.
Flame Shock every 18 seconds, Lava Burst every 8 seconds, Chain Lightning every 3.5 seconds.
Cast the earlier spell first, if both are supposed to cast at the same time.
Lightning Bolt spam when nothing else is happening.
The "call macro, or big button" uses Elemental Mastery and both trinkets.

Pretty basic, but is working very well.

So I haven't played this combo since I posted this since I've been leveling the mage + shaman's in PVP.

Another question (this has probably been covered somewhere but I haven't seen it).

How should i do my healer macro

the 3 options I can think of are this:

1. /cast target=focustargettarget Healing Spell

2. /cast target=focus Healing Spell

3. assign a name in the macro and /cast target=name Healing Spell

4. /cast [harm] Lightning Bolt; [help] Healing Spell (this would make my other chars useless when targeting someone to heal)

I'm leaning towards #1, but after I get what method to use out of the way what should my healing macro look like? I've only done Elemental since wotlk, I know in BC it was spam chain heal in raids and lesser healing wave in heroics.

/cast sequence [target=focustargettarget] reset=combat Earth Shield,Lesser Healing Wave,Lesser Healing Wave,Chain Heal,Lesser Healing Wave,Lesser Healing Wave,Chain Heal,Lesser Healing Wave,Lesser Healing Wave,Chain Heal,Lesser Healing Wave,Chain Heal

That's 252 characters, but I'm not sure if its the right spells. any advise would be nice with this.

I use two methods.
Some of the spells are like your method 1.
My assist is target=targettarget, with my casters targeting my tank.

/cast [help, target=targettarget] Lesser Healing Wave; [help, target=targettargettarget] Lesser Healing Wave

Alternatively you could have your healer assist the tank:

/assist Tank
/cast [help] Healing Wave; [help, target=targettarget] Healing Wave; [target=tankname] Healing Wave

Pretty much one of each heal is available like this.

I also have specific heals on G-Keys.
My resto shammy can Riptide each party member via G1-G5, which are just obscure keybinds.
Similarly, I can Healing Wave party members via G7-G11, similar keybinds.
I forget exactly which way I set it up, but one set includes alt mods. so its only 5 macro's in wow.
Something like:
/cast [mod:alt, target=ToonA] Riptide; [target=ToonA] Healing Wave
With a keybind like Ctrl Shift F8 through F12 or something similar.

/castsequence [target=focustargettarget] reset=combat Earth Shield,Lesser Healing Wave,Lesser Healing Wave,Riptide,Chain Heal,Lesser Healing Wave,Lesser Healing Wave,Chain Heal,Lesser Healing Wave,Lesser Healing Wave,Riptide,Chain Heal

This works perfect for AV with 1 char healing, I only use it on boss fights and when I run into a large group of people... I seem to go OOM quickly though. I might add a few comas.

At 70 you don't have Shield of Righteousness.
