Hello,

I normally play Prot Paly 3 ele shamans 1 holy priest

last night for fun played prot paly and 3 hunters instead of shamans and 1 holy priest

Anyone done anything like this and what are your thoughts on it.

My hunters are all about 70 so I ran UK last night and ripped through it pretty easy till the server frose up and i went to bed.

have a great day

My last group was holy paladin, 3 hunters to my husband's Prot pally. I personally hated elemental shammies {love the resto and enhancement ones, though} and had a blast playing with the hunters. I'd still be playing them, but my husband and I started from scratch to build a raid team. Once we catch up with the new team, we may sub in a hunter or two, depending on how things work.

Here are some results from my first set of tries on UK

Tank 80 prot paly 30 k hps
Healer 71 holy priest
3 70 - 74 hunters

First run not so good due to macro issues
Second run better able to kill prince but when it came to the 2 mob group i ended up killing them with just my paly not enough healing power for the group damage
Final boss couldnt heal the group fast enough with each hunter close to 10k hps

Not sure with having only a single healer is enough healing power

I am going to go back and try the shamans and see the differences

I will keep you up to date later on the hunter tests

I just stepped up to triple boxing recently (was waiting on 3.2 for cheap mounts and early flying lessons). I initially two-boxed a prot pally and holy priest up together, and they did great. Now I added in a demo lock.

I have to say, it's a HUGE learning curve to move from 2-boxing up to 3-boxing. It took alot of careful planning, major adjustments to macros (I didn't want to have separate macros to heal each toon like I did when 2-boxing).

My biggest impression of the difference between 2 and 3 boxing is...holy crap do collection quests ever suck! Somehow I didn't really notice it when 2-boxing, but when you have to collect 3x the stuff...now I see why most boxers skip collection quests that don't offer a great reward or open up a ton of other quests. I've already decided that even though the zeppelin debris quest in hellfire offers great prot pants as a reward, I'm not doing it...I do NOT want to have to collect 90x debris!

But I have to say, being able to fly as soon as you reach outland REALLY speeds up questing! It's so easy to "get in, get out" to get a quest done now, you don't have to fight your way through mobs or chance it and ride mounted through hoping you don't get knocked off your horse and have a huge aggro train on you.
