So I've hit 76 with my warlocks, 80 is in sight and I've got a good line on pvp gear. I really don't do anything other than pvp once I hit max level, so all my pve efforts are spent leveling.

So what to level next.

I'm tempted by the idea of leveling 4 of a single healing class. Obviously, I'd level them in some other spec, but switch them over to healing when I finally make it to the end.

What classes would make the best 4x healers?

Starting with cons:
Priests are relatively easy kills, especially since some of their damage prevention doesn't stack (shield). For giving up so much with armor, they kind of get screwed with their fast healing burning through mana in a way that doesn't happen to the other healers.
Palys aren't really full time casters when levelling, and this would be a pain.
No real cons on druids or shaman that I know of.

Pros:
Druid hots are amazing. Is there some form of raid heal even? Trees are damn near impossible to kill when they are self healing, having 4 cross heal would be crazy.
Palys lots of bubbles, plate, survivable. 4 lay on hands, tons of buffs.
Priests have that spell that bounces around. Put that on castsequence and spam it on the guy I'm following in pvp and he'd not only get heals but a whole lot of people around him would too.
Shaman have the most versatility.

I just think it would be crazy fun to have 4 healers in some place like wintergrasp. I've always enjoyed healing, but having the power of 4 of them and being able to point at once guy and put him into godmode would be incredible.

I've had something similar happen to me while playing my warrior in Eye of the Storm. Five healers started following me (independently played). The rest of our dps were pretty bad, but I racked up 55 kills in one EotS. Even when a healer went down they had time to get back. It was all completely spontaneous as the healers all came from different servers, but it was enough to make someone on the other team create a character to yap at me.

I want that power from the healing end of things, kind of the opposite of the instagib.

I've always enjoyed healing, my first eighty was a priest. I always wanted to make a five healer team as well but never quite got to it until now. Just rolled five priests, only level 60 atm but they're getting there. As for how good they are? They seem fairly versatile. My one letdown is that (of course) Power Word: Shield doesn't stack (but apparently the debuff does!) :p which is a shame but not unexpected. The other forseeable problem is that Prayer of Mending Doesn't stack but I have ways of dealing with that (read: self casting and shadow word: death) So far its been most enjoyable. They kill mobs quick enough with holy fire and mind blast and can heal around 20khp with one round of penance. They also have heaps of utility. Five power infusions and five pain suppression's available and massive group heals (inner focus/prayer of healing etc) I'd recommend em if you want to go five healers but it would make more sense to roll the class you most enjoy :)

Edit: at level 60 I managed to outheal a ulduar geared ele shaman (this was arranged testing of course, I was healing an eighty, if we used myself as the target dummy I would have died to a single cast)

I have a druid team level 60 at the moment and when my RAF runs out I plan to do just that. Make them all trees and just heal pvp. The thought of 4 or 5 resto druids running around just makes me laugh.

Disclaimer: my ger sucks (just hit 80 with the last two 1.5 weeks ago) but it's getting better.

I run 5 druids currently: 1 tank/moonkin, 4 healer/moonkin dual specs.

4 resto druids wasn't as fun as I was expected. I still died pretty damn easily and I couldn't really kill much. It felt like I was just running around spamming HoTs until a couple horde decided to take me out. However, this could definitely be due to my gear and if I actually had 600+ resil it's possible that it would be a force that's very difficult to kill.

Moonkins, on the other hand, are pretty damn fun even with shitty gear. Putting 10 HoTs on a target is enough to make them shit their pants. I dont' even know why I do that since one starfire round will make the HoTs never tick more than once, but I like seeing their debuff list skyrocket. Typhoon is your friend... it gets those guys off you and does some nice damage at the same time. You have a ton of healing power when you need it, though you're missing the AoE heal the resto druids love (wild growth).

I will try 4 restos again someday just for fun. I caught more crap from others in EoTS when they found out I was resto, whereas when I'm moonkin 80% of the time they enjoy me being there (unless we're losing, in which case I get all the blame, regardless of if I'm capping all the towers myself). I think 4 restos would really shine in a premade where you can go around with two warriors who just demolish everything. In a PUG I think you're often left healing people who can't do the killing that you would if you were just moonkins.

Im playing 4 resto druids atm, but my gear are not good either. Im currently farming gear, and hopefully it will be fun, but atm, im dying faster than i tought i would hehehe, ofc that might be me lacking skills aswell :D:eek: ...and so far i only did pvp.

I'd go with the druid healers, that would be awesome. Or you could do a mixed healing group! Priest, paladin, druid, shaman, think of the synergy there.

If I have time this weekend then I am planning on trying out 3 moonkin, 2 non-shapeshifted resto druids. All my guys have 750+ resil and their survivability significantly better than when I wrote my previous post. Since resto druids get a nice armor bonus while in night elf form, I'm planning to use them as support DPS when not under fire, and healers when being attacked. With two wildgrowths I should have some decent mana replineshment as well as healing, and having two swiftmends should be able to keep my guys alive against most opponents. I will be losing 2 typhoons, which hurts the most, but with three typhoons on a 17 second cooldown I will still be able to cast them every 6 seconds... hopefully enough to keep the melee off of me.

I've just got my 5 priests to 80 and specc'd them all disc. They were shadow all the way to 80, but now that they're all disc, my problem is that I really don't know how to play them. I got pwnd pretty bad (was for sure the cause of our loss) in WSG. I've got penance on RR, which heals amazingly well, and prayer of mending does a decent job too - but I'm just inexperienced. I believe the potential is there for amazing survivability, I just need practice.

Trees are damn near impossible to kill when they are self healing, having 4 cross heal would be crazy. After having tried to kill just ONE with my 5 shamans, i totally agree ... if i did it again, i would start with 5 tress ... time to work on my 5 druids <60 :)
