4 Shaman, FTL SETUP- All inside!!

Alright ill get to the meat of this post: The goal is to provide players with a quick and working setup to run 4 shaman in a FTL environment.
What im not covering is how to actually setup FTL inside of keyclone itself. Things that I would like to provide.

-Key setup, bindings and macros.

- UI layout, recommended addonds.

So here we go, I intend to start out with a few pictures of my setup.

The bar on the right side, is normally hidden. All the FTL items are placed on this bar, and then hidden out of view. The bottom right side, contains a focus window, omen, gladius and recount goes above the focus window.

These are the n52 TE key bindings used by me.


So that is my physical layout of how things are, what's bound and what's able to be used. I will note that I rarely use the keyboard
for general play, but when engaging in vehicle combat i use the number pad for those functions.

Alright now more to the core of the setup, I run keyclone you can find my key map files along the bottom there.
I will lead off with my key setup, it will start with the key binding - the FTL, and the macro's associated with that.
First thing when setting up FTL, define your characters:

Ctrl + key = Orbzz

There are many times, when you may want to ground mount vs. flying, this is where I make that determination using this key. Macaroon for me at least, tends to
bug out and not accept the input to my FTL bar, when I zone into places. So I macroed in a little fix for myself.

This is my ghostwolf, or ground/flying mount macro. It's a game script that will select based off of location where I can and cannot fly, and then summon the
appropriate mount for that area (ie, no flying in wintergrasp / dalaran area's).

TBH to this day, i generally only use Healing Stream, Stoneclaw, Searing, magma calls. This is also my PVP totem drop

I utilize one button to activate all trinkets, blow thunderstorm x4, ect.. This is the same for all toons slaves I add a assist just in case I didnt have time to grab a focus.

The SHIFT Mod for Q is a Cast Sequence for the Focus Target
/castsequence [target=focus,exists,nodead][] reset=8 flame shock, lava burst, chain lightning Sometimes im spamming q quick, so it made sense to just hold my modifier button on the N52 TE.
This has worked fairly well for blowing someone up, and credit goes to forum goers for this macro.

The above files are my keymaps for keyclone, and the way i have my wow bindings setup to perform the FTL system. Feel free to copy them and use them if youd like. the keyclone files need to be renamed to .kcl and you can post the bindings info right into your bindings file.

Yeah I like the x-keys, but I think that I could probably go for something smaller.. like around 24 keys. If i setup with a dedicated healer I could see myself using more keys.. but then I dont know if i would use teh game pad.

Call me slow or a noob but FTL is that the focus target leaderless? and what is the huge benefit of FTL?

The benefit is that my guys never really have a target, except for maybe the main if Ive clicked on something. So in like arena and stuff this alows me to disguise my target.

-- Focus is not reserved, so you can save it for other things. I save it for special targets, that may require quick action like wind shearing a healer. Without having focused reserved, I can be dpsing one target and just click a button and have a action done to the focus.

--- Character switching, when one person goes down, switching is just as fast I can move my mouse to the next characters window.

-- Downsides, changing targets real fast is subject to latency. The characters may not have updated your new target when your casting. It can be a small pain to setup, as the macros are quite large but I really do think it's worth it.

One question though. Do you experience the chainlighning and lighningbolt macros to be slow when changing targets from hostile to friendly? Eg. slaves start to heal main when starting to nuke a fresh target?

I like them, especially since my headphone jacks are up top on my case. They are a little big but very comfortable. Get hot sometimes around the ears but the sound is great and I never have complaints about the audio from the mic.

That doesn't change the fact that commas don't work anymore and we don't offer support for the product you use. If you want to know how to make round robin steps in that program, you'll need to go ask the people who do support that program.
