Hi,

I join battlegrounds as a group always. I try to click all my toons as fast as possible when the window pops up. However, I am never the raid leader and my toons are never in the same group. The raid leader usually ignores my requests to group my shamans together. My shamans therefore get split honor points and achievements, creating undesired individuality amongst them. Is there any solution to this problem? I remember a time when joining a BG as a group would always land you in the lead spot. Now than experience is granted for BG, I am planning to level a team with pvp. This would be problematic since they will level unevenly if they are not in the same team.

There is no solution if the RL ignores your requests to be made assist or move your chars.

I've given up on BGs due to this issue :(

I like having my toons in the same group but since they have implemented this new feature I have never had all toons in same group. Luckily I use FTL so have no issues targetting, etc, but I hate I can't use all my buffs properly and do any healing, etc.

Yah, my main issue with it are Tremor Totems and Healing Stream Totems when playing as my Shamans, but for the most part, I guess it's not a huge deal. I'm hoping it's something that gets fixed, though. Keep your fingers crossed for a fix of sorts in 3.2. :D

My biggest problem is healing. I have my toons in the same order through Pitbull, and I know the top one in my party list is 1, second from the top is 2, etc. If they're not in the same party in BG then I don't know which one requires healing (unless I click on their nameplate which is just too slow).

I've started a thread begging Jafula to look at a solution through using Jamba (have the toons in the Jamba list show up in the same order at the alphabetical Pitbull and show their health bars). At least then I could know which one needs healing and just hit the button.

For the record I also use a FTL system and I can heal anyone through clicking and have my slaves assist, it's just that I also have my keypad mapped to specific Owltoids for quicker targeting/healing.

I have another related problem. Getting leadership isn't usually an issue, however once i get it i find it hard to move all my characters to the same group. It bugs out and doesn't move the character. Anyone else experience this?

I think you have to wait until the battle starts now to do that. Wow, that is a bright idea, huh?

This usually isn't a problem for me. In my bg, queue wait time is less than 1 min so I wait and manually join the bg right away with just one char to speed the load time. I usually get in first then I enter my other shamans and move them to a group not filled in (cause I can't move ungrouped player out). A mod that automatically joins a bg would help but I don't know of any. Just dl it to one of your char preferably the nonleader of your group so you can requeue if you want.

You can only move characters from your own server, so if you manage to get leader move them all to group 8 ASAP so you can keep them together.
All auto join when it pops type addons are gonna be broken as they changed AccetpBattlefieldPortal() so that it no requires a keypress to use, simpy add it to an accept all type macro with the proper parameters and you should be in fast on all your chars once again. (look it up on wowwiki under the API section so you use it correctly)

#showtoolip Lightning Bolt
/click [mod] MyFTLbutton
/castrandom [target=targettarget,harm][target=targettargettarget,help][] Lightning Bolt,Lightning Bolt,Lightning Bolt,Lightning Bolt,Lightning Bolt,Chain Heal
/targetlasttarget [mod]

that's the macro I use on my shamans for healing in mixed groups, is works most of the time and keeps everyone up, it still works after the castrandom change because none of the spells have a cooldown. The 5DPS/1heal ratio seems to work the best for me, it may be different for you adjust as necessary. I have buttons bound for healing each toon individually if they happen to get focused.

i've found that when I msg the leader with: "do you mind giving leader or assist so i can put my team in the same group please? =)" it works about 80% of the time.

I've got another problem tho - when I've actually got raid leader, how do I move players into the same group when the raid is full? I'll end up with 3/4 in the same group but can't move anyone in or out after the raid is full. Anyone mind sharing?

I believe you can only move toons that are from your same server. In an instance like AV you're just out of luck. In an instance where there are empty groups (for example EoTS) you can put your toons together.

Yeah your only option is attempt to move all your chars into an empty group if there is one. If not your SOL.

You can try Vuhdo. I used it for a few weeks it is a pretty impressive addon but was fairly buggy at the time. It lets you create "custom raid" unit frames that you can move around. I know you can create a Personal Tank one so I would imagine you could great 5 custom raid unit frames and group them together.

I have found that if I wait until the last possible moment to enter I get the last raid group to myself ;p It has worked everytime so far. I started doing it last week.

I've started doing this as well...works about 80-90% of the time for me. On WG however, the dialogue box closes pretty quickly, so I click that straight away.

Cheers,
S.

how do you determine the "last possible moment" ?

ahhh - i see the strategy ... when i get the 5 invites on my team, it's "reserving" the 5 spots ... waiting until the last moment causes all the spots to fill up and leaves the last 5 for me until I either accept or hide ... gonna try that ... .

EDIT: yeah - this works pretty good .... warning tho - the "ENTER BATTLE" timer is up for only 60 seconds before it disappears and you have to re-queue ... found that out the hard way
