Just in case you didn't know, you can put the same one on all your accounts, its not a 1-1 mapping.

Yes, although if you have a smartphone, they may be a software app from Blizzard that does the same thing. I know for sure there is an app for the iphone.

I've been using the authenticator for months now on my 5 accounts. You shouldn't need to pick up more then 1. I've been using the same 1 for all 5 of my accounts and it works great :)

Exactly, it will work on up to 9 accounts. I have 9 now and will get 4 more in a month. Also I will get 2 battle.net accounts for the same reason.

Well my wife has her own account and I have my 5 active accounts. And her account was actualy hacked last month, which makes me happy to see this post. But I have to admit blizzard was a champ about it. They knew before she did and emailed her and then when it was all said in done she got back everything. The only thing was she could not play for a couple of days while bliz fixed everthing for her. So i am going to order 2. One for me and one for her.

Two factor authentication for a video game just seems like too much hassle.

Waiting x weeks for GMS to restore and/or farming to replace the crap lost on 5/10 accounts seems a hell of a lot more hassle. Nevermind proving that you are in fact the owner of all those accounts and that you were not the one spamming goldselling sites or making corpsespam in Org.

If you get your accounts stolen, sure. I'd rather take my chances than be paranoid. And funny, I'm a security analyst by profession. I don't even run anti-virus, haha.
Unless you just generally have bad habits when using the internet (or anything, really) your chances of being compromised are almost nothing.

I got a question how do you login on all 5 accounts at once since they all use the same Login Username?

Pretty sure it works on more than 9 accounts. I haven't counted lately, but I know I have more than 9. I can confirm that Battle.net limits you to 8 Wow accounts per login, which makes me regret having converted them over in the manner I did. Not sure why they put a limit on it.

I used to have this attitude, then it struck me as counterproductive and possibly dangerous. I would expect the people who understand the risks the best to be the ones to make sure they take the proper precautions, but often we're the ones who drop our guard the most. I've never been hacked and never had a virus or spyware problem, but part of the reason is because I make sure to protect my systems. I'm at very low risk for having my accounts hacked, but I bought an authenticator anyway. It was something like $8. If you can afford to multibox, a one-time $8 fee for what is effectively 100% security is more than reasonable.
