Wintergrasp tenacity

I'm alliance and the horde on my server just did the tenacity cheat against us. I made a report and I complained in the wow forums about it and someone posted this video, which I believe pretty much sums up what they horde did last night.

some 200+ alliance showed up for the WG and about 8 horde players showed up at 8PM prime time. About one minute into the WG horde vehicles showed up on the west wall two of us multiboxers happend to be there to defend and we couldn't scratch a single vehicle and the horde pretty much could single shot any alliance player. My team was killed extreamly fast. We were 10 alliance against what 8 horde players with tenacity ( 10 players against 200+ horde ).

The tenacity was so huge they were indestructable. We have been able to defeat this before but you need ALL of the defenders to show up because essentially ALL of the attackers have shown up at one place.


I have always hated tenacity, kind of surpises me that it took this long for someone to use it this way. I hope Bliz puts a ban on the 8 horde players for 4 days but I doubt they will do anything.

This isn't cheating so why would they get banned? Your team still had 200 people vs their 8. Even though you each only barely scratch them, 200 scratches will kill them and it all evens outs.

Clever use imo. Tenacity was dumb to begin with if you ask me.

That's pretty much working as intended with no glitching or exploiting.....

If it's 200 vs 8 for the whole battle, then working as intended.

if its 200 vs 8 for the first few mins, then 200 vs 200 for the purpose of getting tanks faster, it's exploiting IMO.

Alliance on Mag try this cheesy tactic occaionally, usually late at night.

I kind of thought it was an exploit myself.

if we (alliance on my server) can stop the initial charge they are toast and will never get in. I find if I send my team over to the platform area on the west side and announce in raid & general defense chats 5x "horde using tenacity cheat, tanks coming from west side" that alliance seems to recover quite well.

it only works when nobody is expecting them to have vehicles already and nobody is defending the west side, I'm sure someone thinks my 5x chat bubbles are an exploit too.

The tenacity is not what they are cheating with. They log out of the previous game with rank and log in with the rank buff still active, and are able to make siege without killing anyone. They have friends zone in and make sure its clear and that they own the shop. Then they log in with rank and start making siege.

Now they will no longer be able to use that cheat, as you have to queue up for Wintergrasp.
