This is a snapshot of my setup (sorry about the quality!). I use two computers. The screen you see on the left belongs to the primary system that I use:
20" widescreen LCD, 1680 x 1050 res
2.6GHz dual-core processor
2GB memory
dual 400GB hard drives
GeForce 8800GT video
The screen on the right belongs to my secondary system, it was previously an Athlon X2 4200 CPU but I replaced the processor and motherboard.
20" LCD, 1600 x 1200 res
2.4GHz quad-core processor
2GB memory
dual 300GB hard drives
GeForce 7800GTX video
The drives in both systems are SATA, so each drive has its own channel. On the second machine (which runs four accounts) I run two WoW off of each drive. At 800 x 600 they fit perfectly into the 1600 x 1200 resolution of the monitor, and with all graphics options tuned for performance (ie, turned off or turned down) I get 40-120 FPS depending on the location. They ran at 10-30 FPS with noticeable stutter before the CPU upgrade, now they run nice and smooth. The only part I don't like is having the transparency for water turned off, but it's not a game-breaker.
The keyboard and mouse you see are for the system on the right. The keyboard gets almost no use, but the mouse gets plenty. There is a pull-out drawer under the desktop that contains the keyboard and mouse for the primary system.
