First Heroic Boss down!!!

Well, first I took my Pallies to UP and actually ended up clearing the place in normal mode. Went out and reset then changed to heroic. Got to the first boss there and it ended up being actually easy. I think I am going to farm heroic emblems from her until I can get enough to get a good gear upgrade and then go from there. I couldn't believe it. With my pallies and no shamans were there! w00t!

Heh, I ran regular Azjol'nerub on my pally gang the other night at 75 and was amazed. Those silk cocoons that gave me so much trouble died in one divine storm, and consecration x5 > all the bugs that the first gatekeeper boss spawns. Granted, I have a 540def 80 prot pally in there to soak damage but still. Full run in under 20 minutes? Yes, please. Frankly, the only thing it did was make me realize how borderline my druids were until they got quite a lot of rep/crafted gear. The pallies were in freakin greens and the odd quest blue, for cripes sake. If this holds in heroics, this will be so much easier to gear up than the druids. Not as good on AoE as druids/mages but when your AoE heals you, that's just completely awesome.

Also, for some reason, all those elites in Dragonblight were easier with 4 pallies than with 5 druids. Maybe just the fact that they can take a hit or two.

Mine are alllllllmost 79 and I'm about 90% done with Grizzly Hills. And they already have epic flight/cold weather flight from my druid daily money team. At this rate, if I hit 80 shortly after getting into zul'drak, they'll have about 8k gold each just from quests by finishing up the rest of the zones and opening up the rest of the daily factions.

If these guys had stealth and swift flight form shifting, I think I'd just keel over dead from delight. :P

Well, I dropped first two bosses in heroic UK today as well. So getting the hang of these guys. Man, sure wish you were still around! Just think about you, me and stealthy (and nisch if he came back) running around causing terror with 20 ret pallies..omg

I'm sorta playing a double-reach-around game at the moment. I'm still boxing, but playing with friends/family on a PVE server. Soon as I'm back in a normal job, I'll most likely continue leveling my shammy group on Mag and probably xfer my toons from here back to Mag. Sooner or later. Just wish the job market didn't suck so bad right now. :P

That's great, Sham, I'm really happy you are getting the hang of things on your pallies. Thing is, once you can get a couple of bosses down in heroics (even if only a handful) you can start your gearing up process.

Now what you really need to do is look over the loot table in 10 man Naxx, pick out the stuff you need, and have me (and Stealthy or whoever else wants to join) take you through and start gearing you up even faster. Do that for a few weeks and we'll be in Naxx25 guild runs soon.

Yea, maybe some naxx runs would be appropriate. If you guys do something this weekend I would like to bring at least my main pally and maybe some shamans if that is okay.

Well, got 4 emblems so far and one chest upgrade for a ret pally. On my way!

btw, i don't think you need to worry about me getting that HOL trinket before you do. I just can't get passed that 3rd boss. I will one day but still need to practice more on him. Spreading out helped a lot, though.

Yeah, he really sucks. Only thing worse is the drop rate on that trinket and the fact it drops off the last boss.

I ran it twice more last night - no trinket. That's 11 times on my warrior with no drop. :(

If you guys do Naxx and have room, I wouldn't mind bringing at least 1 shaman or my dk for the fun of it,lol. We need to get more people geared and start some 25s,lol :P

Good thing you sticked with your pally team. The last time I heard from you is you will shift to pally+4 shammys because of HoL. I've been playing pally since Day 1 and now after I learn about your success makes me wanna create 1 pally tank + 2rets + 2holyshockadins (for beacon)

well, i am having fun with them for sure. hardly play my shamans anymore. have 5 heroic emblems now and going in to get 2 more right now. they are a force to be reckoned with!
